Brie Larson purchased a Mediterranean-style villa in vibrant Los Feliz – for $7 million

Captain Marvel star Brie Larson has purchased a Mediterranean villa-style home amid the gated Laughlin Park community in Los Feliz, Hollywood. 

With origins dating back to 1948, the $7 million property is among the most historical in the neighborhood – and one of the world's best homes – complete with a vintage yellow kitchen and views of Los Angeles' skyline. 

The Academy Award-winning actress (and star of the forthcoming film The Marvels) reportedly purchased the two-story home from a group of local real estate investors – who purchased the home from a 'non-famous family' in 2022 for $3.8 million. 

With the price jump considered, it is likely that the property received an extensive renovation in the past year; however, as the property sold off the market, recent photos are sparse. 

According to dated images and tax records acquired by Dirt (who initially reported on the sale), the home still spans just under 4,000 square feet and features four bedrooms and four bathrooms. 

Though little is known about the new decorating ideas, the interiors are said to boast a curved staircase and spacious living room with a brick fireplace – the latter standing as a reminder of its (approximate 75-year-old) history. 

Former listing images also show a vintage, sunny kitchen that flows into the family room – complete with glass sliding doors that open to the exteriors. There is also a 'wood-paneled den' and an upstairs primary bedroom suite with unrivaled views across Hollywood and the LA skyline. 

Outside, the 9,000 square feet space is equally as noteworthy – boasting a backyard swimming pool and grassy lawns that are perfect for sunbathing or entertaining. 

The Sacramento-born actress is the latest newcomer to the private community that is famous among her Hollywood counterparts. Her neighbors include the likes of Angelina Jolie, Natalie Portman, Will.i.am, and Ashley Benson. Los Feliz is also home to the Vista Theatre, a 1923 movie palace, and a pair of iconic Frank Lloyd Wright homes.
