We unveil Kelly Hoppen’s RETROSPECTIVE collection at Andrew Martin
Celebrated designer Kelly Hoppen MBE has launched an exclusive new collection sold at Andrew Martin in celebration of her 40 years at the top table of design.
This year, Kelly Hoppen is celebrating 40 years at the forefront of the design industry. In that time, she’s developed an instantly recognisable trademark style and become one of the most successful interior designers in the world.
In an ode to her career so far, latest collection RETROSPECTIVE draws on wonderful inspirations from places she’s been, projects she’s worked on and vintage pieces she’s seen all over the world. All beautifully presented in her signature neutral colour palette, of course.

The chosen home for RETROSPECTIVE is the Andrew Martin showroom on Walton Street, the home of Andrew Martin for the last 40 years. Kelly and Martin Waller, Founder of Andrew Martin, have shared a strong working relationship – and friendship – for years, with Kelly being the first recipient of the Andrew Martin International Interior of the Year Award in 1966. ‘Kelly is a rare designer in that there is a message, a philosophy, and an idea which underpins her work, she has discipline’, says Martin.
The materials used are a culmination of those Kelly has worked with over the years and loved. It makes for an interesting mix – think lacquer, marble and metallics alongside tactile velvets and woods. From furnishings and lighting to striking accessories, pieces are designed to work together yet each has it’s own distinct character. ‘Each piece sings its own song, that’s the beauty of the collection,’ Hoppen says. ‘You can put it in any room, and it will work’.

Stylish yet subtle, RETROSPECTIVE’s clean lines and sculptural details work just as beautifully in both minimalist and maximalist interior schemes. But be prepared, the collection is vast.
Our favourite pieces include the Pedestal bistro table, crafted from oak and featuring a beautiful marble top for a touch of luxe. The Danny desk offers a subtle statement in a home office, with it's striking cubic design, while the Morgan stack side table is finished in a silver high-gloss lacquer, which bounces light around the room to dazzling effect.
