Anthropologie's Bow-Shaped Wreath Is a Playful Alternative to Traditional Decorating – And It Captures One of This Year's Biggest Festive Trends
This unique Christmas wreath can bring a delightful sense of whimsy to your home for the holiday season
While a traditional Christmas wreath will always have a place in our hearts, the growing love for whimsical, more unexpected seasonal designs is bringing a playful new feel to festive decorating.
We're not saying Christmas wreaths are going anywhere, but they are taking new shape in 2026. A playful alternative to long-established styles, Anthropologie's Faux Evergreen Bow Wreath combines the lush, fresh feel of traditional evergreen wreaths with one of this year's biggest holiday decor themes: bows.
Nostalgic, light-hearted, and oh-so enchanting, bows felt bigger and bolder than ever before last year, and they're set to be just as big in 2026, too. Perfect for adding festive spirit to your front door or bringing merriment to your living room, this charming bow wreath can bring a fresh feel to your Christmas decorating this year.
Anthropologie's Faux Evergreen Bow Wreath is the playful alternative to traditional wreaths.
The bow trend makes homes feel instantly cuter. The holidays are all about embracing enchantment, and coquette styles tie beautifully into this theme. They bring even more joy and festive spirit into our homes, whilst providing a refreshing twist on tradition.
While wreaths usually sit on our front doors, this charming style can make any corner feel instantly more festive. Designed to bring a focal point to any room, it's not hard to imagine it hung proudly at the centre of a dining room, or crowning a cozy reading nook.
Don't get us wrong, going down the traditional Christmas decor route isn't a bad idea, either. It'll bring a fresh, wintry feel to your front door, just as your classic round wreath would, but with a much more fun, whimsical feel. Styled with some indoor or outdoor Christmas lights, the Anthropologie wreath will truly come to life. Amazon's Battery-Operated Wire Fairy Lights are dainty enough to wrap around the wreath (best for indoor use), whilst Amazon's Outdoor Green Battery-Operated Fairy Lights will camouflage against the lush faux foliage.
Bows are bigger than ever this year; they can bring a real playfulness to outdoor spaces for Christmas, like Anthropologie's Willow Plaid Bow Tree Topper.
You could even go one step further and enhance your wreath with some Christmas ornaments. A set of colorful glass mini baubles will transform it into a real festive statement. Terrain's Shatterproof Mini Bauble Garland is perfect for adding a little playfulness and vibrancy to your bow wreath to match its whimsical nature, or a handful of Magnolia and Hearth & Hand's Mini Glass Painted Ornament Set would exude a quietly classic feel.
Anthropologie's charming design captures exactly what makes this alternative trend so appealing: decorating for the festive season doesn't have to mean relying on traditional, familiar styles to create a memorable impression. Injecting whimsy into your home needn't be over the top; in fact, a simple bow-shaped wreath can be all it takes to make a room or doorstep feel instantly more merry and bright.
