I have a luxury taste on a tight budget – these are my favorite Amazon home decor pieces that look expensive (but really aren't)
Are you sleeping on Amazon's home decor? I was too. Here’s everything I'm adding to my cart this weekend

Abby Wilson
Over time, Amazon has become one of my go-to retailers for its affordable, eye-catching, and always-evolving home decor selection.
I know, I'm as surprised as you are. But from bedroom essentials to charming design accessories, Amazon hasn’t let me down yet. And as long as you know where to look, (and scour the reviews) finding home decor on the site has never been easier.
If you’re a bit intimidated by Amazon’s home decor selection, you’re not alone – with so many vendors and products to choose from, it’s easy to get lost. And because the online marketplace has a bit of everything (including the not-so-chic), it hasn’t always been my go-to for interior design refreshes.
So to help us all out, I've done a little deep-dive on your behalf and have spent the last 48 hours scrolling to curate the best edit of Amazon home decor pieces so good, you'll struggle to believe they're from Amazon.
The Best Amazon Home Decor
Amazon Decor: Lighting
I actually buy most of my lighting on Amazon lighting deal days like the Prime Day sale (which sadly has ended but some deals are still hanging about!) and I'm always on the lookout for unique sconces, table lamps, and ceiling lights that I can bring into my home on a budget.
Amazon Decor: Throw Pillows and Blankets
Throw blankets and pillows are some of the easiest items to swap out as the seasons change. I often look to Amazon for pillow inserts as they're just so cost-effective, but I wasn't aware they had such a great selection of pillow covers too. I'm impressed.
Perfect for a coastal or farmhouse-style living room, these ruffle cotton pillow covers have soft ruffled edges and a simple gingham to create a relaxed and casual look. Be sure to order pillow inserts for these.
Amazon Decor: Decorative Accessories
It's hard work sourcing delightful and unique decor accessories for your home. From thrifting to shopping high street brands, it takes time. But luckily Amazon has some really great pieces, they'll all in one place, and you can get them super quick with Prime. I so prefer to shop this way.
Design expertise in your inbox – from inspiring decorating ideas and beautiful celebrity homes to practical gardening advice and shopping round-ups.
If you love coastal decor, you'll love this calm shell bowl. Perfect on its own to add to your shelf vignettes, or as a bowl to house beauty products, keys and glasses at the door, or even as a fruit bowl.
Amazon Decor: Curtains
Fun fact: Amazon do some of the best window treatments and curtains. From light-filtering sheers to more sensible kitchen curtains and practical blinds. These are the best I've found on sale now.
Add some romantic texture to your window treatment ideas with these ruffle-edged curtains. These soft flowy curtains not only provide privacy, but help to filter sunlight, allowing a soft glow to fill the room.
The standout feature of these French Door curtain panels (which is already genius in itself) is the built-in sticky straps that allow you to easily install the blackout curtain. You can tie up the curtain with the pretty ties for more light or let it down for full privacy.
Amazon Decor: Rugs
Having just laid new flooring downstairs in my home, I'm on the hunt for the very best rugs. I don't have time for anything that won't last long, so I've rounded up rugs that are durable and easily cleaned (including machine-washable) because we can all appreciate a low-maintenance purchase.
