If you want a more confident table this spring, look no further than the latest installment of the collaboration between exuberant English-born designer Peter Dunham and homeware brand Hudson Grace.
Both may now call California home (Los Angeles and San Francisco, respectively), but between the paisleys, vibrant pink-and-green pairings, leafy hand-painted motifs, and the sheer potential for pattern play, the new Peter Dunham x Hudson Grace lineup carries a flavor closer to Palm Beach.
Glamorous, swanky, but without a trace of stuffiness, the mix-and-matchable 53-piece lineup of dinnerware, linens, and tabletop accessories reflects Peter’s signature – California ease, co-mingled with European and Middle Eastern influences. Down to the last salad plate, every item feels lively, a little transportive, and more than capable of carrying the lion’s share of any conversation this spring and summer.

It's all about the layers. Here, a green fig-patterned salad plate crowns a coordinating sunburst print, set atop a scalloped placemat with a border of rich, verdant green.
And with materials like melamine in the mix, alongside Italian-made ceramics, some are just as suited to outdoor dining rooms. The Janpath paisley plates, for instance, can take a tumble – ‘perfect for poolside lunches and picnic adventures,’ Peter Dunham says.
‘There are a few products I’m especially excited to get to market,’ he continues. ‘First, the hand-painted Fig Leaf plates’ – a lush pattern full of natural nuance that’s hard to pull off – at least for anyone that isn’t Hudson Grace.
‘I’ve always wondered how the pattern would translate to tabletop and had been hesitant to do it, but I knew Hudson Grace and their trusted artisans would do this justice. And indeed, I absolutely love them.’
The collaboration's marriage of color, confidence, and coastal cool makes mix-and-matching like a designer feel fairly intuitive.
Despite having, notably, collaborated before, this iteration arrives with expanded horizons. ‘I’ve been wanting to try table runners and round tablecloths, and this season we made it happen,’ Peter explains. ‘I see the round tablecloths jazzing up luncheons and weddings, or draped over a center or game table.' For anyone foreseeing garden parties in their future, you've met your moodboard.

Layer in flowery pinks, ocean blues, punches of yellow and orange, and verdant greens, and the tablescape starts to read like a million dollars – though we're happy to report that the new Peter Dunham x Hudson Grace lineup ranges from $18 to $198. Available at Hudson Grace and Peter Dunham retail locations, as well as online at hudsongrace.com and hollywoodathome.com.
Make a splash this season with Homes & Gardens' selection of standouts.
'Collaborating with Peter continues to be such a natural creative process,' says Monelle Totah, founder of Hudson Grace. 'There's a shared language around design and our love for it, that goes beyond vision – it's how we live and gather.'
