Ruggable’s latest collaboration with British luxury stalwart Liberty distills more than 150 years of garden-inspired heritage prints into scales, palettes, and compositions that feel every bit as evergreen as the originals.
In the States, florals are often reserved for spring – but in the Liberty universe, heirloom blooms live in the home year-round, evolving with the space. That distinctly English expression now feels newly feasible in this latest Ruggable collection, thanks in no small part to Ruggable’s washable rug construction, which allows designs to stay fresh well beyond a single season of the latest rug trends.
Devotees of the Liberty archive won’t miss the Flourish revival, available in Cream, Rose, and Teal. The vintage-inspired rug design retains its distinctive interplay between ’70s Bauhaus geometry and ’90s grunge florals, now scaled up to anchor busier rooms like living spaces and entryways with ease.
Styles such as Honeydew Blue may look dainty, with their dancing bouquet of florals, but they’re built for high-traffic rooms – even splash-prone spaces like the kitchen.
Even minimalists may find themselves smitten. Tonal iterations such as Christelle are pared back to the silhouettes of the early Indian chintz that inspired them, trading punchy color for a whisper-soft, almost ghostly effect. The eye barely registers them as floral until closer inspection – incognito, and arguably more iconic for it.
Discover my favorite pieces from the latest collection below (at this rate, some florals may prove perennial after all).
Play it cool with peonies, a large-scale reimagining of Liberty’s original 1968 scarf design. Sartorial sensibilities shine through the bold block-color composition, where aubergine, dusty teal, off-white, and navy mingle with flashes of ochre. Ideal for fostering a calm, effortlessly elegant environment.
The perfectly imperfect lines of what began as a Liberty drawing bring irresistible character to the Honeydew Blue rug. Dahlias, poppies, anemones, daisies, and bellflowers gather toward the center before dissolving gently toward the border, creating a whimsical effect that feels especially enchanting in unexpected places like a hallway or kitchen.
Let guests know right from the get: this is a happy house. The Persephone Midnight & Cream doormat brings Liberty’s Arts and Crafts spirit to even the most treacherous outdoor conditions, looking just as cheerful, vibrant, and textured after a rainy season as it does on day one.
Dining room rugs are usually a no-go. Here, you can take the risk and still enjoy whisper-soft cream florals without worrying about wine or spilled food. All the more reason to throw caution to the wind at your next dinner party.
Flourish's mirrored Art Nouveau layout invites a closer look, with sweeping curves and scrolling leaves unfolding across a palette of golden yellow, burgundy, cream, and rusty pink. It's lovely alongside airy, light-filled living room accents, and equally fabulous styled with moodier jewel-toned greens and blues.
All of the updated classics above are available in Ruggable’s newer All-in-One construction, which eliminates the need for a separate pad. As a certified rug snob, I gave it a proper test: explore my full Ruggable All-in-One review here.
