Zara Home proves that butter yellow and pastel blue are THE colors of 2025 with their new bistro-inspired, brunch-ready collection
Here's everything I'm buying to create a French café vibe at home

I've been looking for small, joyful ways to romanticize my mornings and make my hosted-at-home brunches feel more like the cozy cafés I love visiting.
Zara Home must have been reading my mind, as their latest drop of French bistro-inspired tableware – think embroidered linens, butter dish-shaped candles, and candy-striped spoons in this summer's must-have hues – instantly instills the sun-drenched feel of a Parisian café.
But as far as color combinations go, this one is a little unexpected. Of course, you should already know that butter yellow decor is the trend of 2025, but if you're looking for what colors go best with butter yellow, Zara Home suggests looking to the equally summer-ready baby blue trend.
From delicate pastel blue glassware to orange juice scented candles, these are the pieces I'm shopping to bring some joy and color to my slow mornings.
Zara Home's latest brunch-ready drop
As someone who tends to reach for neutrals by default, I actually find these subtle colors incredibly approachable. The soft mix of butter yellow and pastel blue feels fresh without being overwhelming, and manages to look way cooler than traditional decorating with pastels.
Elevated but unfussy, trend-led yet totally timeless, Zara Home has managed to capture 2025's color trends in a way that I know I'm going to want to return to them year after year. In fact, I loved this combo so much that I've used a delicate mix of pale blue and yellows when decorating two connecting rooms in my remodel.
But if you aren't up for cracking out the paints, these 12 new-in at Zara Home picks are my favorites for introducing this playful palette to your everyday table.

The star of the show is this cotton placemat made with a butter yellow backdrop that has been delicately embroidered with little breakfast motifs, including a croissant, spoon, and two tiny strawberry decor moments.
I don't know about you, but I can't get enough of fun borosilicate glassware. These spiral spoon comes in a set of six in a palette of soft yellow, blue, and a coffee-colored rich brown shade.
I love Zara table linens not just for their affordability, but they wash really well, you can typically buy them to fit any table size (the one comes in a 6-8 or 8-10 guest size) and come in the prettiest prints like this retro check.
Good enough to eat yet too pretty to burn, this decorative candle has been molded into the shape of a vintage-style butter dish. It's fun, playful, and incredibly chic. I'll also be picking up the matching Decorative Candle Mug.
Sold as a sold of four, these embroidered napkins are made from 100% linen each in a different earthy hues and designed with a French slogan such as 'Le Beurre' (butter) and 'Le Pain' (bread).
Not only is this delicate mug finished with the sweetest twisted candle and available also in a delicious yellow shade, but it is made from borosilicate glass, which means it can withstand temperature changes without cracking, making it dishwasher and microwave safe too.
While the new stonecare in the collection might have been made in Portugal, these simple yet stylish plates are finished with a French bistro-style contrasting blue rim for a classic, timeless tablescape.
You can easily dip your toe into the yellow and blue scheme with this set of 100% cotton kitchen dish towels that will instantly add some summer tones to your neutral kitchen.
The 'Salty Butter Croissant' scent might be sold out for now, but this orange juice flavor really took me by surprise. Instantly uplifting, the burst of citrus and bergamot was inspired by morning sunlight filtering through your curtains.
These kitchen towels each have a beautiful hand-illustrated design, either showing the different types of bread or tools for butter, as seen here. I love to hang unique linens like this over my range cooker for a little styling trick.
Whether you're planning on hosting a brunch for your friends or refreshing your kitchen for the season, these breezy, bistro-inspired pieces are the kind of finds that make you smile every time you set the table. And are sure to impress even the most stylish of guests.
If, like me, butter yellow has well and truly won you over (either thanks to me or the various celebrities decorating with butter yellow we've uncovered), then I must encourage a look over our favorite butter yellow kitchen ideas for more inspiration.
