Besides stainless steel being inert, meaning that it will not react with boiling water in the way BPA plastic does, the non-toxic coffee maker's rapid immersion-and-press methodology ensures that water remains in contact with the chamber for less than two minutes, reducing the potential impact on the overall flavor profile.
Whilst the stainless steel model is more affordable than the premium glass model, at $169.95 compared to $199.95. It's a considerable price increase from the $39.95 original (which we recommend to anyone looking for a sturdy, everyday, quick brewer), but this is to be expected from arguably superior materials that will inevitably last far longer.
