Bethenny Frankel's Greenwich farmhouse just sold for $7.8 million, and I can't get over its extravagant crocodile leather-style ceiling
Originally constructed in 1743, 'Applejack Farm' is one of the oldest homes in Greenwich, CT, and Bethenny turned it into a chic, modern retreat

Bethenny Frankel may be known as a Real Housewife of New York, but her property portfolio extends north of Manhattan to Greenwich, the largest town on Connecticut's affluent Gold Coast. Bethenny has just sold her home, known as 'Applejack Farm,' a rare gated compound dating back to 1743, making it one of the oldest homes in the neighborhood.
Nestled in the 'Golden Triangle' of Greenwich, the historic property may have century-old roots, but inside, it's a maze of old-money-inspired charm and modern luxury.
After purchasing the property for $4.25 million in August 2021, Bethenny redesigned every room, introducing playful additions, such as an uber-stylish crocodile leather-style ceiling in one of the living spaces.
It's unlike any ceiling I've ever seen before, making a subtle statement that isn't overpowering, but so chic. It's impossible to look away when you know it's there.
Alongside the pistachio-hued living room (a tone that happens to be topping color trends right now, by the way), the other spaces exhibit a modern-luxe aesthetic that complements the home's original architectural assets while bringing the property into the 21st century.
The main home comprises five bedrooms, six bathrooms, two half bathrooms, grand historic rooms, a show-stopping La Cornue-equipped kitchen, exhibiting deep black cabinets and a monochromatic breakfast nook that's perfect for enjoying a morning coffee overlooking the grounds.
Continuing around the home, you find a sunny primary bedroom suite with dual spa-grade bathrooms, and a media room with a fireplace – one of the several architectural details worth mentioning around the home. Other stand-out features include beamed ceilings, more brick fireplaces, paneled walls, ornate moldings, an antique bar.

'Applejack Farm is a rare blend of historic pedigree and modern luxury nestled in the heart of the Golden Triangle of Greenwich. Properties with this level of attention to detail and with such rich architectural distinction seldom come to market,' comments Jeff Jackson, of Corcoran Centric Realty, who represented the property for sale.
Outside, the curated grounds feature mature specimen trees, rolling green lawns, intricate landscape lighting, a stone patio (perfect for summer entertaining), a storage shed, and a covered porch overlooking the private grounds. There is also a guest cottage with a further 2 bedrooms, a standalone studio, and separate 'party barn.'
'In a town where demand continues to outpace supply, even at the highest end of the market, the opportunity to own a legacy estate such as this one is very rare. Therefore, it is no surprise that the home was swiftly snapped up, epitomizing Greenwich’s current market trends,' Jeff adds.
The deal just closed for $7,825, and Bethenny is reportedly now living in Miami Beach, Florida.
