John Legend has used this innovative and affordable deep fryer for over 18 years – it's on sale for under $120
When it comes to long-lasting appliances, nothing beats the singer's deep fryer – he's used it to cook everything from turkey to fries since 2007

John Legend might be setting the record for the longest running kitchen appliance with the deep fryer he's had for almost 18 years. In fact, he lists it among the 'Things [He] Can't Live Without.'
On his deep fryer, John told The Strategist: 'I’ve had a T-Fal fryer since 2007. It’s exactly what I want — it’s the exact right size and very easy to clean and take care of. It regulates the temperature perfectly. They have a turkey fryer that I’ve used as well — we use it for Thanksgiving sometimes.' Now that's multi-purpose.
John's choice of kitchen appliance isn't just any deep fryer; it has special features that make it especially easy to use. An oil filtration system, temperature control capabilities and large capacity make it simple to clean and fool-proof to cook with.
In John's opinion, it's much, much easier than frying in a classic non-stick pan.
He explains: 'I like it better than frying in a big pot because the temperature regulation is much more straightforward. It stops heating when it’s reached a certain point and it heats back up when it needs to. So you don’t have to spend the whole time watching the temperature.'
What does the singer like to make with his deep fryer? A better question would be what doesn't he use it for.
'I love to fry chicken, so this is what I’ll use,' states John. 'We’ve made homemade French fries in it, we’ve made egg rolls in it; a range of things.'
