I don't collect records, but this vinyl storage I just found hiding in the Joanna Gaines Target collection is the answer to adding a '70s flair to my tiny entryway

Its use potential goes beyond record storage, too

Lately, I've found myself completely hooked on '70s interior style. Just take a look at my Pinterest boards – I've saved everything from retro wallpapers and shag carpets to sunken living rooms and wood-paneled interiors.

But as someone who lives in a small space, I also need to be realistic about what I can fit in my home, which is why when I saw this vinyl storage cabinet from Joanna Gaines's Target collection I instantly added it to my cart. With its warm wood finish, old-school fabric door, and sleek chrome base, this cabinet is the perfect retro home decor idea. And since it's not too big but has lots of interior space, it's ideal for storage in even the smallest of spaces.

Although it's sold as a storage cabinet to hold vinyl records (so retro, I know), this cabinet can be used to store all sorts of objects – clothing in a bedroom, books in a living room, or even extra serveware in a dining room. And did I mention it's on sale? That's right – this charmingly '70s cabinet is only $119.99. Everyone say 'Thanks, Joanna!'

If you want to lean into the retro charm of the '70s aesthetic, but don't have much space to do so, this cabinet is the decor piece for you. It's small enough to fit in the tiniest of spaces, provides extra storage both inside and on top, and looks funky and retro while doing so.

And like I said, even though it's sold as a vinyl storage cabinet, it can be used for pretty much anything. I'm planning on using this cabinet as an entryway idea to fill the empty spot next to my front door. I'll store miscellaneous decor within its shelves, and on top, I'll place a catchall for my keys, wallet, and phone.

Aside from my praise and styling ideas for this storage cabinet, it seems reviewers have lots to say about it, too. 'This was an absolute breeze to assemble and seems to be made of high-quality materials,' one reviewer wrote. 'The fabric door adds a very retro vibe while keeping it modern with the metal stand.' Another reviewer commented on its storage abilities and mentioned using it to hold board games and puzzles instead of records.

Joanna Gaines certainly knew what she was doing when she designed this cabinet. It has the potential to bring both storage and style into your home.
