Kelly Wearstler just created the ultimate holiday tablescape with Dior – here's how to recreate the opulent look
This chic tablescape sets the bar high for the holiday season
Thanksgiving celebrations are officially upon us, meaning we're well and truly into the holiday season. Otherwise known as hosting season, it's the ultimate time of year to put on your best tablescaping display as you host friends and family around the table to enjoy the festivities.
Giving us some much-welcomed inspiration for stylish tablescapes, we're inspired by Kelly Wearstler's recent collaboration with Dior Maison, in which she unveils her Thanksgiving table decor display, which is as chic as you would imagine. Filled with luxe items from the Dior Cruise 2024 collection, the table sets the bar high for holiday decor.

Combining opulent materials such as black marble with ornate, vintage-inspired dinnerware sets and glassware, Kelly's sophisticated tablescape is united by a palette of deep and dark hues. Below, we've explained how to create a similar look by taking inspiration from the interior designer's stylish dining table decor and included some similar products for you to shop.
1. Layer dinnerware pieces
Kelly's table display has a layered look, with plates layered in sets of two which creates a sense of depth. While this follows a traditional style of table setting, contrasting the ornate plates against the marble table ensures a balanced look. You can choose to layer dinnerplates of any different style and color depending on your preferences, but for an eclectic look, opt for plates of differing colors and styles to add interest.
2. Add a splash of color
When designing a tablescape for the holiday season, whether that's Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas, you will want to make sure you choose colors that best reflect the season. While pastels and bright hues work well in the summertime, opting for deeper and darker hues works well for this time of year – creating a rich and dynamic look.
In Kelly's display, a palette of black and white is balanced with a splash of rich color through the deep red foliage acting as a table centerpiece. There are endless flower and foliage decorating ideas, and it can be a great way to incorporate color whilst the rest of the tableware is more pared back.
3. Add drama with candles
No tablescape is complete without candles; perfect for creating a cozy feel. Kelly's tablescape channels large brass candelabras that add height to the display, while the antique style complements the ornate glassware. Whether you prefer classic white dinner candles or adding a splash of color, consider the candles as a great way to elevate your tablescape this holiday season.
