This iconic piece of kitchenware is back with a new look – it's still as beautiful and in-demand as ever

A year after the KitchenAid stand mixer with a walnut wood bowl launched, the coveted design piece is available again, in a new color, and I want in

Last September, our Kitchen Appliances Editor, Lydia, wrote about the launch of one of the most beautiful stand mixers we've ever come across. Yes, the KitchenAid stand mixer has always been an iconic piece, and one of the best stand mixers money can buy, but the Artisan Stand Mixer with Walnut Bowl, available from Williams Sonoma, truly is a stunner.

When it came out in 2024 Lydia wrote 'I'm obsessed,' and I can see why, even though I'm only an occasional baker. I would honestly consider buying this just to look at it on my kitchen counter. Ok, that might be a little indulgent, but we know that this KitchenAid stand mixer with wood bowl has got a lot more to offer than purely good looks.

While it first launched in a divine Evergreen hue, this second edition is available in Porcelain – a versatile off-white – which really makes the unique, natural grain of the walnut wood bowl stand out, and is absolutely timeless when it comes to styling it in both modern and rustic schemes.

According to Digital Editor in Chief, Jen, who owns a KitchenAid, 'using it is an absolute joy.' Perhaps if I owned one as gorgeous as this latest launch, I'd be inspired to unleash my inner Martha Stewart more often. I'm willing to give it a go in the name of research.

While it's not the most affordable kitchen appliance, you know that you'll be investing in an iconic piece that will go the distance. 'KitchenAid's die-cast metal construction means it's solid, sturdy and built to last,' confirms Lydia. However, she does note that the walnut bowl requires a little care as you will need to season it regularly to ensure that it maintains its natural beauty.

For just a smidge under $750, the new model comes with a flat beater, dough hook and wire whip, and boasts a 10-speed range from slow stirring to high beating, so whether trying out Martha Stewart's blackberry and apple cake recipe or whipping the perfect pizza dough this will be your absolute go-to for a huge range of recipes. And it will instantly bring a professional and chic look to your kitchen counter. Just make sure you have the space to display it with pride, as it's far too pretty to hide away.

If you love the idea of upgrading to a new KitchenAid, but can't quite stretch to the cost of the walnut bowl version, Joanna Gaines's KitchenAid Stand Mixer from the Hearth & Hand With Magnolia collection at Target features a stunning copper bowl, and is a little more purse-friendly at under $430.
