A cliffside Malibu estate that formally belonged to Cindy Crawford is currently on the market for $99.5 million – currently one of the highest-priced homes in California.

Supermodel Cindy Crawford, who is best known for appearing on the covers of Vogue, Elle, and Cosmopolitan, sold the home for $45 million in 2018. The estate spans over three acres of manicured grounds above Malibu’s El Sol Beach and includes a private path to the shore.

With its mature trees, Pacific views, and prestigious Malibu postcode, Cindy Crawford’s former estate is one of the most sought-after properties in the state and – one of the world’s best homes. Here, we take a tour.

Beyond its palm-tree-filled exteriors, the red-roofed Mediterranean home is a trove of decorating ideas that celebrate West Coastal luxury. The open floor plan includes a great room, gourmet kitchen, and dining area (pictured below).

The entire space experiments with a neutral color scheme, from its subtle wooden flooring to the cream-colored soft furnishings that complement the blues of the surrounding ocean.

The area effortlessly combines indoor and outdoor living – one of the biggest interior design trends of the summer – through its large patio that connects the entertaining areas. The home also features a gym with a vaulted ceiling and a separate media room.

Spiraling from the main floor, past the statement chandelier, the home boasts a main suite with a fireplace and sitting area.

The main bedroom also includes a dual spa-like bathroom and a walk-in closet – because this is only a short drive from the boutiques of Rodeo Drive, after all. Other bedrooms also feature their own en-suites – while one has a private entrance, bathroom, and kitchen.

The 7,450 square foot home is something to behold, but its grounds are equally impressive – even before you reach the shore. The estate exhibits a host of luxe garden ideas, from its large tennis court and swimming pool to the spa and cabana – complete with its own fireplace.

A decking (which is an apt space for entertaining and enjoying Malibu’s iconic sunsets) also surrounds the grounds – complete with views of the ocean, naturally.
