Pierre worked on the final designs and blueprints prior to his passing in 2004. The property was then completed by Pierre Keonig's colleague, architect James Tyler, in 2012.
The steel, concrete, and glass structure keeps with the minimalist aesthetic of Koenig while taking in the lush landscaping and direct oceanfront views. The property also includes a pool with spa, a third story balcony, a subterranean garage, and retractable stairs for access to the beachfront.
The tri-level home illustrates a harmonious connection between the cool contemporary architecture and warmth of nature with breathtaking white water ocean views.
Environmentally conscious, the home runs on an innovative system with radiant heating and solar power.

An extraordinary master suite features a fireplace and floating walkway which leads to a private balcony floating over the ocean.
Surrounded by beautiful palm and cypress trees, the lower deck offers a host of oceanfront entertainment space, a dipping pool and spa, and leads to a private retractable drawbridge to step directly onto the sandy beach.
The modern beach house is a piece of art by its very nature, seamlessly connecting to its surroundings and offering a slice of the California dream in surfer’s paradise.
The property is listed for $20,000,000 with Tyrone McKillen of Plus Real Estate of Compass. Visit Point Lechuza for more information.
Who was Pierre Koenig?
Pierre Koenig was best known for his Case Study homes (#21 & #22), which were experiments in American residential architecture sponsored by Arts & Architecture magazine, which commissioned major architects of the day, including Richard Neutra, Raphael Soriano, Craig Ellwood, Charles and Ray Eames, Pierre Koenig, Eero Saarinen, A. Quincy Jones, Edward Killingsworth, and Ralph Rapson to design and build inexpensive and efficient model homes for the United States residential housing boom caused by the end of World War II and the return of millions of soldiers.
The Case Study House No 22, also known as the Stahl House, is one of the most iconic and coveted homes in LA, immortalized in a 1960 Julius Shulman photograph of two women perched above a city nightscape in a cube of glass.
