If you want a great Mother’s Day gift, ask a mom. It’s an eye-rollingly obvious piece of wisdom, and one woefully underutilized by everyone but, apparently, Weezie. Its latest limited-edition collaboration taps Leah O’Connell, a pattern-obsessed San Francisco–based interior and textile designer (and a mother herself), with exactly what she – and, presumably, other mothers – actually want to receive.
Topping the wishlist: towels. It’s a Weezie collection, so of course, there are plenty. This terry-heavy, fully customizable lineup trades the brand’s usual clean-and-classic staples for five of the designer’s elegantly effervescent, botanically inspired patterns – Vivian, Georgie, Holiday, Cora, and Harriet – across bath, hand, and full towel sets, along with coordinating robes and toiletry bags.
This debut might be happening in spring, but in Leah’s perennially in-bloom design universe, the mood is always floral, bringing a refreshing, seasonless softness to even less-expected extras your mom might not think to buy for herself, like a drawstring bikini bag.

Thanks to Leah, Weezie goes more floral than ever for spring, complete with the brand’s full suite of customization options.
‘I’d describe it as playful, polished, and rooted in a kind of relaxed California prep,’ Leah says of the collaboration, floating in buttery yellows, powder blues, and botanical greens. ‘There’s a lightness to it: florals that feel fresh rather than formal, colors that are cheerful but still classic. They’re meant to feel happy and easy in a home – something you can live with every day.’
Unlike another addition to an already robust collection of trinket dishes or coffee table books destined to go untouched, it’s hard to argue with the usefulness of a towel. Give your mother, say, the green-bordered Scalloped Hand Towels in Leah’s whimsical Vivian Magnolia, and she’ll smile at the fabric applique monogram every time she dries her hands. A small, daily reminder of you – her thoughtful, loving child – rendered in a very good pattern.
Ahead, six gifts your mom will actually use.
