One thing about me – I thoroughly think through every single purchase I make. It doesn't matter what it is – a cute dress, jewelry, decor for my apartment – you can bet on me to sit and think about something for days before actually buying it.
That said, all of my better judgment was lost when I came across this portable rattan lamp from Walmart. It was my quickest purchase to date – no leaving it open in my tabs for days on end, no sending it to friends for a second opinion. After just one glance, I knew I needed it.
This table lamp is designed with rattan woven delicately around an iron frame. It's small in size, measuring just 9" in height, and its light output is as substantial as a full-sized table lamp. It's complete with a dimmable touch switch and has three levels of brightness. This lamp offers up to 10 hours of light after a full charge, and it takes just six hours to charge back to full when plugged in.
Let me preface my impulsivity with the fact that I've been looking for a portable lamp for a while. Most styles I've come across have been too utilitarian for my taste, and the ones that I did like have sat in my cart for weeks as I mulled over the expense. Not this one, though. Its intricately woven base and shade, paired with its cordless capabilities, were what I had been looking for (and almost paid triple for). And for just $19.74 – which is cheaper than the cost of my lunch here in New York City – I was instantly sold.
Article continues belowAt just 9" in height and 4.5" in width, this lamp is definitely mini, but that makes it perfect for small spaces. If your small bedroom nightstand isn't large enough for a full-sized table lamp, this is the most practical alternative. It's even short enough to fit on a bookcase shelf or on a countertop underneath kitchen cabinets. And though it be but small, its light output is ever-so mighty– providing three different levels of light to fit your needs.
This lamp also has excellent reviews on Walmart's site, with many commenting on its chic style, versatility, and ambient glow. 'I need like 5 more,' one reviewer wrote. And honestly? Same.
Bottom line: sometimes it's okay to impulse buy – especially when it's for Walmart's portable rattan lamp. With a design this chic and a price this cheap, it's unlikely that this lamp will stay in stock much longer. So go ahead, act on impulse. I won't judge. Give your plants a stylish place to rest with this rattan vase. I just love its urn shape and its scalloped rim – perfect for adding character to any corner of your home. At just over a foot in height, it's the perfect size for a kitchen island centerpiece and can hold your springtime floral arrangement in style.
Trust me, your home can never have too many trays. These two can add texture and charming style to any room in your home. Use the smaller size as an entryway catchall for keys, and the larger size as a coffee table styling idea in your living room.
