This Genius $39 Joseph Joseph Caddy Instantly Cleared My Crowded Counter – Holiday Hosting in My Small Kitchen Just Got So Much Easier
It slots onto the bottom of your wall cabinet, instantly reducing counter clutter
Our kitchen is kitted out for convenience, and that includes a microwave and not one, but two air fryers. But what this also means in my relatively compact kitchen is that counter space is at a premium.
That’s why I’ve recently switched my cutting board to this Joseph Joseph BPA-free trio that lives mounted under a wall cabinet with a nifty stainless steel storage caddy. It's also currently on offer at Amazon ahead of Black Friday price drops.
It’s perfect for small kitchens as you’ll only have the cutting board down on the counter when it’s in use. Otherwise, it’s neatly tucked away, leaving your counters free whilst still being at hand whenever you need to get chopping.
Why This Joseph Joseph Set is Perfect for Limited Counter Space This Hosting Season
It’s easy to install, extremely sturdy, and keeps your counters clear. All it takes is to slot the built-in hooks onto a shelf or wall-mounted cabinet, and push in two screws to make a sturdy off-counter storage spot for the three BPA-free cutting boards inside.
I’ve had a chopping board saga in the last year. First, I swapped my plastic one for a glass one to make my home more non-toxic, but that almost immediately dulled my best kitchen knives. Then I switched to a trio of wooden boards, which were wonderful to look at, but they soon began splintering and had to be recycled.
That’s why I figured if I have to swap my board a third time, I might as well kill two birds with one stone and declutter my countertops, which are more crowded than ever. This is especially a nuisance during hosting season when people are coming for dinner, or I need more space to prep larger meals with my husband.
We use our Ninja Dual Zone Foodi Air Fryer, and Ninja Steami every day, which means they now both live permanently on our kitchen counters, alongside our microwave. Add to that a roster of easy, comforting winter meals in our Crockpot slow cooker, available at Walmart, and counter space is at more of a premium in my kitchen than ever.

That’s why this Joseph Joseph stainless steel caddy set is genius. It slots under the wall cabinet of my choice and is installed so quickly. This means an instant doubling of the counter space available near my sink, which is always busy.
The three color-coded BPA-free cutting boards that come in the set are so handy, helping to avoid cross-contamination, and best of all, they’re dishwasher-safe. I have thoroughly enjoyed this freeing up of counter space as I can crack on with what I need to do, instead of playing counter Jenga to make space for the simplest of tasks.
As I have limited mobility and cannot stand up for more than a minute or two at a time without injury, any extra time spent on my feet unnecessarily is a big nuisance for me. That's why my counters being clear before I start my task is vital, whether I am cleaning with adaptive pacing or preparing a meal.
Amazon shoppers adore the Joseph Joseph set, too. One, self-titled ‘mom of two’ calls the set ‘Brilliant,’ adding, ‘Got this for my husband and we love it. Nice size cutting boards at your fingertips, but no clutter on your counter.’
Meanwhile, verified shopper Elizabeth Crowley gave it five out of five stars and said, ‘Fits great under my kitchen cabinet, convenient size for smaller needs. Quality seems great.’
If you don’t have any wall cabinets, instead attach it under a shelf, or flip it vertically and install it on the inside or outside of a lower cabinet. That’s what shopper K. England did. They explain in their review, ‘I attached it to a lower cabinet door rather than screw into the bottom of a cabinet shelf. It's really easy to slide the cutting boards in and out. The boards are easy to clean. I love this!’
An Even Quicker Installation Tip
Though the instructions say to screw in the back end of the caddy, I don’t have the wrist strength to do this. Instead, I used three strips of double-sided heavy-duty nano tape from Amazon to easily and instantly attach it.
It was fine to use immediately, but whenever I use any adhesive like this, I leave it 24 hours, and this ensures a proper seal before weight is added. Mine has not budged since.
Using nano tape instead of screws also converts installation to renter-friendly and damage-free, so if you need to change the location, or decide to move house one day, you can remove it without leaving any visible holes or marks.
Before you use any nano tape, make sure to fully clean and dry both surfaces for the best and most secure adhesion.
