With large parts of the US below freezing right now, many of us will be feeling the cold throes of winter, even inside our homes. Winter also brings with it the poorest indoor air quality all year, as we shut our windows and inhibit ventilation to retain heat.

The answer to both is the Shark Air Purifier 3-in-1, now discounted by $75 at Amazon, which purifies the air while simultaneously heating the room. It sets itself apart from regular space heaters as the air that's projected into the room has been cleansed of pollutants.

The Shark Air Purifier 3-in-1 Will Beat the Winter Cold and Indoor Air Pollution

A product review shot of the Shark Air Purifier 3-in-1

Our tester noted that the Shark Air Purifier 3-in-1 heated a room more significantly than other space heaters she's used.

This time of year, we have to persevere through some of the lowest temperatures, and as a result, we become trapped indoors with airborne pollutants and odors from cooking, candles, pets, and the outdoor allergens we bring inside.

That's why we're such big fans of the Shark Air Purifier 3-in-1. In our review, we loved how quickly it could raise the temperature. In an 80 square foot room, it climbed four degrees Fahrenheit in just nine minutes, having a more noticeable effect than the portable space heaters our tester had used previously.

Air purifiers can cost around $200-400 by themselves – like the Shark NeverChange MAX, our favorite that costs $299.99 at SharkNinja. So, to get three appliances – a purifier, heater, and fan in one device – for a similar price is rare value, while using up just a third of the floor space that you'd need for all three appliances.

Other space heaters can actually worsen your air quality. As they are often fan-based, they can kick up dust, dander, and other household allergens that are set on surfaces, making them airborne, while also recirculating existing air pollutants.

And generally, winter is the worst season for indoor air pollution (as covered by Franciscan Health), as more time spent indoors and poor ventilation lead to increased exposure to allergens, cooking fumes, and pollutants from candles and heating. It's why your house can quickly feel 'stuffy' this time of year, and why people are urged to the great air reset after hosting over the holidays.

Instead, the Shark Air Purifier 3-in-1 heats the room while purifying the air at the same time. It means you can warm yourself up without risking poorer air quality.

It also allows you to heat individual rooms rather than the whole house, which I do as I work from home, to avoid unnecessarily skyrocketing my energy bill by heating the whole house when I'm the only person in.

And looking ahead past these colder months, having a fan will achieve similar results. You can cool yourself with pure, clean air that's projected directly towards you, and you won't have to turn the AC on every time the weather's hot.

A device that's three appliances in one, useful all year, and can save on your energy bills? That's a major win, especially with $75 off.

The Shark Air Purifier 3-in-1 is discounted to $325 at Amazon with limited stock left. It's also discounted at Best Buy for $365.
