Tyra Banks Transforms a Simple White Entryway with Two Antique Mirrors – The Result is a Parisian Chic Masterpiece

Wood floors, an ornate door, and shag carpet feel renewed thanks to the model’s smart mirror styling – and it’s easy to copy

Installing a mirror is one of the most underrated, low-lift ways to transform your interiors. These reflective pieces instantly make a space look brighter and larger – and Tyra Banks has decided to replicate the tried and true method – but with a stylish twist.

We spotted the former model's method of decorating with mirrors in a recent Instagram post, showcasing the antique-style glassworks flanking her on either side of a white wall. Though the entryway's base is simple – featuring wood floors and white walls – the vintage glass adds depth and character, softened further by a shag rug (like this rug from Target) and the warm glow of LED candles.

Recreate Tyra's Look at Home

Part of what makes Tyra's hallway mirror idea so striking is its imperfect detailing. Design expert Magdalena Gierasinska explains: 'Vintage and antique décor has an unmatched ability to completely transform a space when styled thoughtfully. Vintage elements instantly inject a sense of character, charm, and storytelling to a room, making a space feel more curated and intentional rather than just buying furniture for a functional space.'

Furthermore, Tyra's idea is influencing 2026 interior design trends. Magdalena continues, 'We’re seeing many more trends lean into vintage aesthetics. This year especially, we can expect to see more of a rejection of modern minimalism and see people embrace characterful interiors through the opera aesthetic and curated clutter trends, both of which embrace eclectic maximalist spaces.'

As Tyra's space shows, the key to making it feel relaxed and stylish rather than overwrought is moving slowly and combining a few older elements with modern design.

'If you’re looking to incorporate vintage trends into your interior space, the key is to start small and build up your collection gradually,' Magdalena advises. 'I’d recommend beginning with accent pieces like a Tiffany lamp, mirrors, artwork, or ceramics. These are all items that add visual interest and introduce vintage elements without overwhelming a space, and can work in pretty much any room.'

If there is one thing you add to your entryway, make it a vintage mirror. These charactered pieces can add not only story, but light and brightness.
