If I Were Decorating a Small Bedroom Tomorrow, This Is the Urban Outfitters Vanity I’d Buy Instead of the Jane
I spent months waiting for the viral restock. Then Urban Outfitters dropped this more affordable squiggle-edged version instead
If the very viral Urban Outfitters vanity was never quite playful enough for you, good news: the brand just dropped an even more whimsical version. To the continued chagrin of everyone on our editorial board, it’ll probably sell out before we get a chance to tell you about it.
So let’s not waste any time. Meet Stacie.
She’s the younger, weirder sister. Unlike the viral Jane, Stacie skips the coordinating stool that nests neatly underneath (at roughly $400 less, I’ll let it slide) and instead leans into the space-saving storage feature that made the original so clever: the flip-top mirror.
Frequent movers will be pleased to learn that this vanity table's legs are removable, making the end of every lease just a little less dreadful.
Fold the top down and it’s a clean workspace for answering emails or getting some writing done. Flip it up and babam! Hidden beneath is storage for makeup brushes, jewelry, and other pretty little things, crowned with a sculptural wave-shaped mirror that almost reads like a giant wooden bloom.
It’s a useful little quirk that catches your eye from across the room, whether it’s a sprawling primary bedroom, tiny dorm, or in the form of a phone from your obligatory getting-ready Instagram Story.
The consensus among the 4.8-star reviews? No one wants to spend $699 on a vanity. No one regrets it, either.
Apart from offering the perfect mirror-selfie angle (priceless), it, also unlike the upholstered Jane, is entirely wood. Every Stacie is naturally one of a kind, alive with the grain variations only real wood can provide, and giving you far more freedom to mix and match whatever stool you please. As a style editor and an Aquarius, I, for one, will happily take any excuse to splash a little more personality into a room.
Could this newer, less-saturated silhouette be the better contender for summer 2026? Given our collective obsession with character, whimsy, and maybe not owning the exact same vanity as our neighbor, let’s just say I wouldn’t be surprised to see these reselling for thousands on eBay by September.

The OG Viral Vanity
If you’re still lusting after the small-bedroom-friendly original, that makes you one of more than 17,000 people who have already favorited it. Here are a few newly released upholstery options that haven’t sold out… yet.
I like my furniture like I like my pants: tailored to perfection, and a little avant-garde. That crisp white piping is a tiny detail, but it gives this rose-pink upholstery an entirely different attitude.
Moody florals for summer? Just what the doctor ordered. This is the latest in the slow trickle of new upholstery options dropping since the vanity first went viral in early 2025. It’s an unexpectedly chic way to edge up a room for the warmer months and, to my eye, looks miles more expensive than the original all-pink version.
Spring/Summer 2026 runways were awash with polka dots, and Urban Outfitters, as ever, followed suit in record time with this sweet cream-on-chocolate upholstery. Trending now, timeless always.
Between the imaginative silhouette and the naturally one-of-a-kind construction, the internet’s favorite vanity's little sister feels a whole lot more 2026.
