Ninja Just Made Water Filtration Chic – The HydraSense Is the Countertop Upgrade Taking Non-Toxic Kitchens to the Next Level

Most of us are concerned about contaminants in our kitchens, with our cookware and appliances usually being the chief suspects. However, our drinking water can pose just as much of a risk.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, at least 45 per cent of U.S. tap water contains one or more PFAS. That is why, when trying to make a kitchen less toxic, you need a water filter.

Gone are the bulky, eyesore pitcher jugs, however. Ninja has just launched the HydraSense, a countertop water filter system that actually looks good enough to be left on display.

It is no longer enough to clean your drinking water faucets to ensure clean water. The USGS survey tested water directly from people's kitchen sinks across the U.S., estimating that at least one type of PFAS, or 'forever chemical', was present in nearly half of the tap water across the country. While studies are still determining the exact impacts these can have on our long-term health, it is generally considered wise to avoid cumulative exposure. That is why we advocate so strongly for the best non-toxic cookware, for example.

Until now, however, water filter systems have had a bad rap for being awkward to clean and an eyesore on kitchen counters. This is especially true in small kitchens where space is limited.

That is why I am obsessed with the new Ninja HydraSense. On the surface, it is one of the prettiest countertop appliances I have seen this year, available in a range of stunning colors, with a slimline silhouette that slots perfectly in a corner without being obstructive.

It's what's inside that truly amazes me, however. The Precision Pressure Technology can remove up to 99 per cent of more than 80 contaminants. That is around 10 times more contaminants than other leading filters. All this while preserving ever-important calcium, magnesium, and potassium for water that tastes as it should.

If that wasn't enough, it quickly dispenses water for drinking, boiling, and filling pet water bowls. For those of us on a health kick, it actively tracks your hydration, with real-time filter monitoring based on personal usage.

The whole system is a smart way to reduce unnecessary waste at home, too, cutting reliance on plastic bottles.
