If you had to sum up world-renowned interior designer Kelly Wearstler’s design style in a single word, it would be juxtaposition. Her work is defined by blending contrasts, unexpected pairings, and taking risks, so it’s little surprise she has embraced Breville’s latest Mixed Metals collaboration with Williams Sonoma.
'I love mixing metals – it’s something I do in every project,' Wearstler shares. 'This collection gets it. The brass and stainless together – it’s functional, but it’s also a beautiful design.'
Launched in an assortment of Breville’s most iconic kitchen appliances, from the brilliant coffee makers to sleek countertop ovens, the full six-piece collection, now available exclusively at Williams Sonoma, proves that everyday pieces can move beyond function into something truly worth the countertop real estate. As much a piece of art as the color of your cabinets, or painstakingly selected worktops.

Developed by Breville and Williams Sonoma, mixing metals layers warm brass with cool stainless steel, a raw-and-refined mix that stands out as an architectural accent on any kitchen countertop.
'The strength of mixed metals is in the tension they create. Stainless steel feels precise and modern, while brass brings warmth and depth. Together, they create a more layered, dynamic presence,' said Wearstler. 'In this Breville collection, that contrast elevates the everyday, resulting in sublimely functional pieces that also shift the visual language of the kitchen in a subtle but impactful way.'
The new Mixed Metals Collection is exclusive to Williams Sonoma. Kelly Weastler is pictured with the steel and brass coffee maker from the collection.
Styled in her own home kitchen to highlight the interplay of materials, finishes, and sculptural form, the pieces fit perfectly into any statement-making eclectic kitchen ideas. They're glamorous in the most practical form.
The collection brings together some of Breville’s most celebrated designs, including the Smart Oven with Air Fry, which we awarded 4.2 stars for its intuitive controls and reliably crisp, evenly cooked results.
