As an avid cook who's afflicted by a distinct lack of kitchen space, I will always appreciate a multifunctional appliance, and this one has caught my eye. Whether I'm whipping up a fall menu or hosting a crowd, I'm often juggling multiple pans with limited stove space, so anything that will help to relieve the burden on my poor overworked cooktop gets my vote. When I saw the Beautiful by Drew Barrymore 5-in-1 Electric Skillet for half price at Walmart until 12 October, I was instantly interested.
It promises to do the work of the best slow cooker and even the most reliable skillet, without the need for extra stove space. And I should mention that it looks stunning, too; I might be working with limited cupboard and counter space, but how could I not keep something this gorgeous out on display? It certainly beats some of its blocky black and grey counterparts on looks, anyway.
In spite of my bijou kitchen set up, I'm always on the lookout for exciting new pieces, and I must admit that the rose pink shade of this skillet instantly won me over. I'm the kind of cook that simply can't resist an Instagrammable purchase (think the Our Place Wonder Oven or the 2025 KitchenAid stand mixer with a walnut wood bowl – plus, of course, the Beautiful by Drew Barrymore tomato collection).
Crucially, however, this skillet is as practical as it is stylish. It boasts five different functions – sauté, steam, simmer, slow cook, and buffet serve – with adjustable heat settings. The most ingenious feature though, is its aluminum extender, which expands the capacity of the skillet from 5 quarts to a sizeable 7 quarts. If you're preparing for fall dinner parties, or you plan to host a potluck dinner, the Beautiful by Drew Barrymore 5-in-1 Electric Skillet could be exactly what you need.
The skillet features a non-stick coating and a shatter-resistant, dishwasher-safe lid, both of which promise hassle-free cleanup. It also comes with a stainless steel steam rack and a handy lid rest, so there's no need to fork out for any extras – whether you're trying out slow cooker ideas for fall batch cooking or serving up a family feast.
Hosting can feel like a squeeze at the best of times, but I know that things are about to get even busier, and it's appliances like these that make life so much easier. I might be forever battling to make more counter space in my small kitchen, but a versatile addition like the Beautiful by Drew Barrymore 5-in-1 Electric Skillet could replace a number of my other appliances and free up some much-needed stove space, too.
