See inside Claridge’s chic new Mayfair suites – designed by Bryan O’Sullivan
The iconic hotel has unveiled a Hollywood-inspired paradise amid London's most prestigious postcode

Claridge’s – the globally renowned luxury hotel in London – has unveiled a collection of exquisitely designed suites created by the celebrated designer Bryan O’Sullivan. The decorator had previously worked with the luxe hotel group after creating the Berkeley Bar at Claridge’s sister hotel, The Berkeley.

The aptly-named Mayfair suites pay tribute to the hotel’s signature Art Deco and Victorian architectural styles – bringing the sparkling glamour of the Hollywood hills to the prestigious pavements of London’s most esteemed district – with a contemporary twist.

Key period features include an authentic scalloped fireplace, crafted with pink marble and glass, whose candy-cotton hues set the tone for the entire concept. The combination of traditional and modern interior styles also celebrates some of the biggest current trends – including an elegant hand-painted folding screen and plush coral mohair chairs.
Beyond its quintessential English features an infusion of vintage Hollywood glamour, Bryan has injected pockets of European elegance throughout its Parisian-made wood flooring and its 1950s Italian-inspired wall lights. This flooring melts into marble in the bathroom and lobby, which are embedded with the signature Claridge’s ‘C,’ naturally.
While it is hard to focus on other furnishings after the distracting beauty of the original fireplace, Bryan filled the suites with other notable pieces, including a curved sofa and a free form marble-topped dining table where guests can enjoy room service in the chicest way possible.

Plus, even the mini-bars are painfully stylish in Claridge’s, as the rooms feature a curved mini bar in walnut with floral marquetry inlay. Just in case we needed another reason to love this room any more than we already did.
As Claridge’s is only a short hop from the glossy designer boutiques of Bond Street, it is only fitting that the walk-in closet is as fashionable as its postcode. The room is lined with light oak with leather inlay panels and comes with a stained-glass skylight for showcasing your new purchases in their very best light.
This is, however, a hotel suite, and so, no room is complete with a bathroom. It is, therefore, no surprise that the marble bathrooms are equally lust-worthy – and act as the perfect kingdom to bathe away the hustle of the capital.

Though, perhaps the crowning glory of the suite is the Powder Room, situated just off the lobby. This sanctuary includes a Fontana Arte mid-century mirror – nestled amid a sultry-toned marble wall to indulge guests in the ultimate luxe bathroom experience. Well, this is Claridge’s, after all.
