After enduring the most disgustingly icy NYC winter in recent memory, I was emotionally unprepared to even look at spring decor. Why fall for false hope when I can’t step outside without a shovel and earmuffs? But at long last, I’m thawing – and thanks to Joanna Gaines’s March markdowns, slashing up to 65% off her most spring-forward styles, I’m finally pulling the trigger on all the spring decor I’ve been eyeing.
Starting off strong, Joanna’s spring sale boasts an utterly and completely charming lineup of eyelet, scalloped-edge bed linens – perfect for the romantic, cottagecore-adjacent lace trend taking hold right now. Peeking out from beneath a duvet, they look a little like how I’d imagine my grandmother’s bed might have looked – if she happened to live in a storybook château.
As for the candle sconces: you could argue these aren’t strictly a warm-weather affair, but in Joanna’s now-iconic mirror style – which reflects the light in all the right ways and glows alongside antiqued metal accents – they seem destined to sing a little louder once the sun finally decides to cooperate.

If it’s aged, it’s very much in for spring 2026. Grandma-core laced edges, brass cutlery, and a thoroughly loved pitcher – perhaps moonlighting as a vase – are all very much on the table.
And speaking of shine, spring 2026 trends suggest patinated finishes – blackened metal, aged brass, and the like – are poised for perhaps their biggest moment yet. Joanna has a lovely assortment of measuring cups and pitcher-style vases for cooking and hosting, but the antique-style bell, inspired by her Hotel 1928 in Waco, might be the most delightfully unnecessary item of the bunch. I picture it perched on my nightstand, where, on a lazy Sunday morning, I could ring it and – in my most obnoxious moment yet – be greeted with coffee.
Is there anything Joanna didn’t think of? As ever, the answer is no. Ahead, 12 things I can’t wait to – finally – snap up for spring.
Blackened metal accents are severely underrated – but if you haven’t noticed the current wrought-iron revival, they’re very much having a moment this season. Here, the finish helps temper the ornate, antique-inspired silhouette, making it feel more relaxed for everyday tables. Try adding a soft yellow taper to nudge the whole look into spring.
A tablescape is only as good as its placemat. Even the plainest white dinner plates look considered with the right foundation. This set does the work four times over with its whisper-soft watercolor florals layered over stripes. Or make that eight: each placemat reverses to a solid antiqued blue, offering two looks in one.
Perhaps it’s my always-on obsession with fashion, but there’s something sartorial about an eyelet border that I simply can’t resist – and this breezy cotton set, which includes fitted sheet, flat sheet, and two pillowcases, dresses every inch of the bed. Pair it down with a solid duvet, or lean into the romance with a block print or antique-style floral.
Aged woods, according to our reporting, are another major trend for spring 2026. Humble in the best way, the look is perfectly suited to sun-drenched days. Most candlesticks feel like an evening-only affair, but this twisted mango wood version would look just as charming at breakfast or brunch.
Few things improve a small bathroom faster than a good medicine cabinet. It adds order, frees up space, and conceals the chaos of an ever-growing skincare lineup. Tuck everything behind the mirror and – voilà – serenity restored. In aged wood with an appliqué motif, this storage idea hits the storied note I’m eyeing this spring.
Listen, sometimes you have to fake it. Farmers’ markets and flower shops are among my favorite spring rituals, but if a weekly run isn’t in the cards, a little help never hurts. This Queen Anne’s lace bush is perpetually in bloom and surprisingly convincing – beautiful on its own or mixed in with the real thing.
This pedestal bowl looks an awful lot like one I admired – but never actually bought – at a vintage market a couple of weeks ago. With its whimsically crawling vine etching, I might even like this one better. It’s perfect for holding candies on a coffee table or serving as an ultra-elevated ‘bag bowl’ at the entryway, corralling keys, last-minute jewelry, and other odds and ends.
It looks like a pitcher, but it’s actually a vase – and a substantial one at that, made from 100% iron and strategically darkened to resemble a well-loved antique. Characterful and carefree, yet still a little bit glamorous, either filled with florals or left shining on its own.
Ranking top among Joanna's cast of characters that look like something they’re not, this ode-to-old ‘book box’ is an ingenious disguise for the clutter you’d rather keep out of sight, such as cords and remotes – or even your most valuable possessions. Slide it into a bookcase, and no one will be the wiser.
With the sun finally out, I’m back in the mood to host. Cocktail gatherings and dinner parties are lovely, but nothing quite beats brunch. A tiered serving stand like this one instantly elevates even the most ordinary fare. Suddenly, grocery store cookies taste like they came from a bakery.
Driving the point home for one final time: I’m very into lace right now. Cream is the classic route, but this pop of red feels like a more effective way to wake a table from its winter hibernation. I’d actually skip the napkin ring here; the charm is in that nonchalant, slightly rumpled drape.
Like buying beach furniture in January or an overcoat in July, the best sales tend to arrive just after you want the items most – which is why I suspect this very-of-the-moment March sale will see its fair share of sellouts. If something looks perfect for Easter entertaining or a spring tablescape, trust your instincts and add to cart.
