I've always longed to level up my patio beyond basic garden fairy lights and do something much more stylish, but it is a hard task without going to the expense of additional wiring.

However, thanks to this chic new collaboration between Pooky x Novogratz, fun garden lighting ideas have never been easier. It’s bold, it’s joyful, and it brings portable lamps al fresco.

When I first started looking for stylish outdoor lighting for my garden makeover, I was surprised by how limited the options were, especially if you love color as much as I do. Thankfully, Bob and Cortney Novogratz also saw my plight.

'What I love most is how we've brought much-needed color to outdoor spaces – especially that vintage-toned pink –and the way the cordless technology allows these stunning designs to enhance any gathering without limitations,' says Cortney Novogratz, principal and founder of The Novogratz.

The colors – Blush, Denim, Moss, and Sand – can be seen woven throughout the collection, from powder-coated lamps to the wavy Tallulah Jute Basket Pendant, and not forgetting the collection of indoor-worthy lampshade designs.

While all pieces are incredibly versatile, the standout lamp has to be the Stefan Cordless Lantern, which comes in three sizes, four colors, and can be used to illuminate your tablescape, poolside, or can be hung from your wall (or tree) using the Lantern Hook to turn it into a nifty sconce. Plus, the fact that they’re rechargeable means you can put them anywhere, no outlets or hardwiring required.

Each of the pieces relies on the genius Genesis Rechargeable Cell from Pooky, which boasts a battery life of up to 15 hours, depending on brightness. Most of the pieces are also dimmable, come with a handy remote control, and can be left outdoors year-round.

'There’s no reason why you can’t have a statement standing lamp next to your favourite lounger, or colorful table lamps and lamp shades over your outdoor dining table,' says Jo Plant, chief creative officer at Pooky Lighting. 'We’re celebrating the joys of outdoor living and who better to do that with than The Novogratz, who love color and pattern as much as we do.'

Whether you’re styling a balcony, backyard, or a rooftop terrace, this collection makes it easier (and much more fun). Let me show you my favorite pieces.
