I'll be honest, at no point did I think that a few pieces of felt would ever have that much of an impact on my kitchen.

However, after ending up with some cookware protectors from Le Creuset, I can safely say that my minuscule cookware storage has never been neater, nor have my pans been so safe from chips and damage.

Why I Swear By The Le Creuset Cookware Protectors in My Tiny Kitchen

No one understands the struggle of small kitchen storage as I do. Living in a compact period home, my cabinet space is severely limited, making stacking pans and using vertical storage to save space essential.

However, my most expensive investment pieces – my Le Creuset Modern Heritage Dutch Oven and Classic Signature Stainless Steel Frying Pan – can be easily damaged by stacking. Scratches and chips quickly degrade the quality of a pan, and when you’ve invested in heirloom-quality cookware, proper care is crucial for ensuring longevity.

In the past, I avoided stacking my most prized pots, leaving them on the counter or using an old cork trivet from Amazon haphazardly to keep the bases separated. Then I came into possession of the Le Creuset cookware protectors – star-shaped felt barriers designed specifically for deep cookware and stacking inverted lids.

They’re super soft, flexible, and fit perfectly into my 5-quart Dutch oven, protecting not just the base but the sides and rim, too. The fact that they are so helpful for all cookware, from non-stick pans and baking trays, to cast iron skillets and beyond, only makes them that much more practical for an everyday workhorse kitchen.

They're an all-in-one essential for organizing pots and pans, especially for the devoted Le Creuset collector, and I can't believe I ever did without them.
