This tranquil sensibility can be evoked with a range of earthy hues. Shelley advises: 'Neutral tones – think soft grays, warm beiges, and muted greens – offer a timeless elegance that allows the beauty of the garden itself to take center stage. The furniture complements, rather than competes with the landscape.' Khloé Kardashian's patio follows this formula with the slight deviation of black stripes on the pillows to add contrast and drama. It shows that starting with a neutral base and imposing a splash of darkness works every time.
