HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams unveils its 2025 Color of the Year – a deeply calming blue-green set to make our homes more restful
This tranquil hue is just one of 10 colors within the newly launched 'Naturally Refined' color palette for 2025
As we approach fall, we're beginning to look ahead to the predicted color trends set to define the year to come. For 2025, HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams has unveiled Naturally Refined as its 2025 Color Collection of the Year, and Quietude as the standout Color of the Year.
With a focus on understated elegance, the collection comprises 10 gentle colors that work together seamlessly in all types of homes, creating interior schemes that feel restful and considered.
Marking the announcement of the new color collection, HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams has also partnered with interior design and technology company Palazzo, helping homeowners visualize the color trends in their own spaces to make the color selection process more personalized.
2025 Color Collection of the Year: Naturally Refined
Inspired by a slow and sustainable pace of life, the 2025 Color Collection of the Year has been designed to provide homeowners with paint colors that feel equally welcoming and calming, from on-trend shades of brown to nature-inspired greens; light neutrals to mid-tone blues.
'The ‘Naturally Refined’ Color Collection embraces the desire for simplicity and slower living,' says Ashley Banbury, color marketing manager at HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams.
Whether used collectively as color combinations for rooms or on their own, each of the following colors caters to a wide range of interior design styles:
• Convivial Yellow HGSW6393 is described by HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams as a 'light yellow with elegant warm tones'
• Sequin HGSW6394, 'a brightening and uplifting shade with a goldenrod influence'
• Nomadic Desert HGSW6107, a 'warm tan with a blushed undertone'
• Nutshell HGSW6040, a 'neutral chocolate brown'
• Spiced Cider HGSW7702, a 'naturally inspired rust tone'
• Snowbound HGSW7004, a 'sophisticated clean white with a warm undertone'

'Thoughtfully curated with longevity in mind, each shade emanates elements of timeless design and quiet luxury to help support a living space that feels meaningful,' adds Ashley.
2025 Color of the Year: Quietude
Quietude is the standout shade from the collection, described as a 'cool sage green with a slight blue undertone'. An in-between hue, Quietude is an incredibly restful color that acts as an elevated take on typical neutrals. Neither too blue nor too green, it won't overwhelm spaces and works well across modern decorating ideas and traditional decorating ideas alike.
'Within the collection, the softened sage green Quietude stands out as the 2025 Color of the Year and sets the stage for a quiet space to promote relaxation,' says Ashley.
Inside the home, Quietude works as the dominant wall color in many rooms, from bedrooms to living rooms, and pairs well with plenty of other paint colors thanks to its gentle undertones.
Alternatively, you can also use this tranquil hue as an exterior paint color, such as for front door color ideas, guaranteed to set a sophisticated and subtle entrance to your home.
Decorate with Quietude for a fresh take on decorating with green. With blue undertones, this is the ultimate soothing color.
