I write about appliances day in and day out, and I admit I can get unreasonably excited about features and cookware most people consider mundane. That said, I think it’s fair to say the new Ninja BlendBoss is something we can all get excited about.
Looking like the quirky offspring of a viral Stanley Cup and a blender, I finally got my hands on what’s shaping up to be the cutest personal blender on the market.
Here’s why I’m so excited to review this playful countertop appliance, and why I think you should be excited too.

Available in six fun colors, including 'Pink Peppercorn' (pictured), 'Blue Raspberry', and 'Lavender Lemonade', the Blendboss tumblers are some of the most fun blenders I have ever seen. It is also touted as Ninja's most powerful ice-crushing blender yet, which gives me high hopes for testing this blender at a later date.
I have yet to put this new contender for best blender through our rigorous testing process, but even just unboxing it has me genuinely excited.
With a 12000-peak-watt motor, Ninja promises that this blender is its most powerful 'ice-crusher' yet, which is an impressive prospect given that Ninja's smaller, less powerful Blast Max, reviewed and given five stars by our expert chef, Lydia Hayman, successfully turned ice into the perfect slushie consistency. I'll certainly be putting this claim to the test myself, but I am going in with high hopes.

The Stanley-style tumbler is what really catches my eye. Not only is the blender available in some of the most fun colors I’ve seen on an appliance lately, mimicking that iconic Stanley look, but the 26oz cup, with a removable straw and hooked handle, makes it perfect for car errands or gym trips.
It’s single-serve and not designed for blitzing soups or dips, but it doesn’t claim to be anything more than the ultimate smoothie companion, so I won’t hold that against it. Plus, Ninja offer separate BlendBoss travel tumblers with straws for under $40 (at the time of writing), so you can whip up several drinks in one go.

Initial shopper reviews are also promising, with 300 Amazon reviews and an overall 4.7-star rating. One satisfied shopper, Brielle, wrote, 'This thing is amazing! I was using my bulky Vitamix to make smoothies and decided to try the Ninja. Not only does it make better smoothies than my Vitamix, but it takes up less space, looks nicer, and I don’t have to dirty an extra cup.'
I can’t wait to put it through its paces, but if it lives up to Ninja’s usual quality, I have a feeling we’re looking at a winner.
What to Shop
Want to hold off until we can put the BlendBoss through its paces? Don't fret, we have several other tried-and-tested recommendations to upgrade your kitchen.
With 1,200 watts of power, this countertop blender handles everything – from making hummus to velvety smoothies and crushed ice drinks. It isn't cordless, but it has travel cups for taking out and about.
With a spacious twist-and-go pitcher, a lightweight motor, and three versatile settings for blending and crushing ice, the Ninja Max is the ultimate portable blender. Perfect for smoothie lovers and frozen drink fans, it’s dishwasher-safe and fully leak-proof.
The Beast Blender has small, medium and large cups with straws and interchangeable lids, which are perfect for on-the-go use. If you don’t specifically need a cordless model, this is a powerful and practical option.
This blender is on the chunky side, but the battery lasts for ages. Best of all, the stainless steel keeps your smoothies cold and refreshing for up to 24 hours.
The original, smaller Ninja Blast remains a top contender. It's the best portable blender for protein powder, whizzing a perfect shake without lumps. The battery life is excellent, it's lightweight, and it never leaked in our bags on the way to the gym.
Blending in public can be embarrassing, so we love a quiet blender. At 64 decibels, it is also the quietest blender we've ever tested, as well as being ultra-lightweight and portable.
