A Top Chef Showed Me How to Make Flawless Gravy in My Favorite Non-Stick Pan – It's the Secret to Perfect Christmas Sauces, Guaranteed
At $110 in the Cyber Week sales, I recommend you grab this Premium HexClad pan now
In London a few months ago, I attended a special 6-course feast, inspired by the science of Christmas nostalgia.
Naturally, as a Kitchen Appliances Editor, I had my beady eye on what the chefs were using to create such an exciting meal. Amid the meat thermometers and sous-vide turkey, I was surprised to see the HexClad saucepan, now $110 for Cyber Week.
I use this exact saucepan every day at home and as a product tester, I believe it is some of the best cookware for home cooks. So I was delighted to see that the experts from Kitchen Theory – who hosted the event, in collaboration with Oxford University psychologist, Professor Charles Spence – agree too.
This deep non-stick saucepan is perfect for simmering, reducing, deglazing, or layering flavors without sticking. It's easy to clean-up with a quick rinse in soapy water.
At the 'Science of Christmas Dinner' table, the Head chef poured gravy over the turkey straight from the pan, in front of us. I could see the ergonomic handle in action, and I spotted the signature hexagonal design inside; unmistakably HexClad.
In my HexClad fry pan review, I loved that the base uses tri-ply stainless steel to ensure even heat distribution, while the non-stick material is non-reactive, which means it’s safe for acidic ingredients like tomato or citrus-based pasta sauces, and wine-based gravies. The matching saucepan is no different.
The non-stick interior combines ceramic with hexagonal stainless steel peaks. The seamless surface is nice for beginners wanting to layer flavor with ease – from blooming spices to simmering onions, deglazing sauces, and reducing gravies – without sticking or burning. It cleans up in about 60 seconds, too, which is ideal for home cooks who hate washing up.
More Tested HexClad Essentials With up to 52% off for Cyber Week
I have tested plenty more of the HexClad range, as I used the pans myself when I was working as a recipe writer and editor. These pans are also discounted in the Cyber Week sales.

I'm a die-hard Le Creuset fan when it comes to slow cooking and braising; but the HexClad Dutch Oven pleasantly surprised me. It's more affordable, light and easy to handle, yet still retains heat well, with a tight lid that locks in moisture.
I've tested tons of knives from the most premium brands. But now I've got used to the control, balance, and sheer sharpness of this HexClad knives set, it’s hard to reach for anything else. This set is a huge 52% off, and it comes with a magnetic board and knife sharpener, too.
The smallest of HexClad frying pans, this 8-inch pan is a breakfast-lover's best friend. It provides enough surface area to cook 1–3 crispy eggs – or a single omelet, allowing for a seamless flip without breakage or undercooking.
If you like the look of the HexClad design and chef-approved kudos, but you're not sure if it's a match for your budget or recipes, I've written a guide to how to choose the best cookware for you. It covers budget-friendly to premium brands, and explains the pros and cons of each, so you can make an informed investment that will last years to come.
