Yes – and no. Amazon Prime Day is a two-day sales event that offers great deals across pretty much everything on their website. Of course, some things are cheaper than others, but you'll usually find discounts sitewide. However, it's important to remember that every deal, isn't a good deal.
While you'll see some great savings, there are lots of misleading offers that just look good, thanks to 'Prime Day deal' tags and red color prices. Some products may actually be cheaper elsewhere, and/or are often on offer at the same, if not cheaper price outside of Prime Day. There are certain items we'd warn not to buy on Prime Day, like mattresses and large appliances, as well as some that are certainly worth the spend.

When is Prime Day?
Prime Day has annually been over two days during the month of July. This year, in 2023, and for a few preceding years, it has fallen on the 11th and 12th. Over these two days, you can expect to see savings sitewide on all your Amazon favorites. Though from experience, discounts have begun early and continued on til after the day has ended.
In 2022, Amazon also announced a second Prime Day called their 'early access sale'. This was over two days in the month of October when Amazon once again slashed their prices. While it is yet to be announced, there may be a Prime Day 2 again in October.
