Shark Navigator Lift-Away | was $199.99, now $139.99 at Amazon (save $60)
The Shark Navigator is a longstanding classic upright vacuum from Shark that's still popular years after its release. We haven't tested this model but, on test, Shark is the best-performing vacuum brand for upright vacuums, and I'm confident the the Navigator is a great addition for any home – particularly at this price.
You can also get the Shark Navigator Deluxe for $159.99 at QVC, with a motorized attachment for pulling hair, dust and debris from upholstery.
Shark HydroVac MessMaster | was $249.99, now $179.99 at Shark (save $70)
Most vacuum-mop combos can only tackle hard floors, but the HydroVac is also able to clean area rugs with its multi-surface floorhead. It pulls in dirt and debris while scrubbing your floors, leading to a floor that's actually cleaned, rather than simply vacuumed.
Shark Stratos Cordless | was $499.99, now $349.99 at Shark (save 30%)
We're big fans of Shark vacuums, holding up as affordable alternatives to the best cordless vacuums out there while still offering impressive suction. In our guide to Shark Stratos vs Vertex ranges, we found that the Stratos vacuums win in almost every way - and this is the flagship cordless model of the Stratos range.
Shark AI Ultra Robot Vacuum | was $599, now $299.99 at Amazon (save 50% / $300)
Shark are one of the leading brands when it comes to the best robot vacuums. The AI Ultra is one of their most highly-rated, and can handle pet hair and debris on all floor types, with a self-cleaning brushroll.
We've reviewed the Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1, which is the same as this model with the added bonus of a mop, and enjoyed the intelligent mapping, self-empty function and three suction levels.
Shark Pet Pro Cordless Stick Vacuum | was $329, now $209 at Walmart (save $120)
You can save a massive $120 on this nimble cordless vacuum at Walmart. Tailored specifically to pet owners, the vac is designed to avoid hair wrap, with an anti-allergen HEPA filter to seal away pet dander. You can also fold the vacuum for more compact storage.

In our review of the Shark CarpetXpert, our tester awarded the carpet cleaner a rare 5 stars thanks to how well it cleaned deep pet stains, how easy it is to use, and the set of thoughtfully-designed features.
This package includes the Shark Stainstriker, a portable carpet & upholstery cleaner that can suck messes and stains out of fabric.
This same package is available at Shark for $259.95, with the added bonus of a free steam mop.

Shark HydroVac Pro XL | was $359.99, now $199.99 at Home Depot (save $160)
The HydroVac is an impressive piece of kit. It's essentially two home cleaners in one, and now it's on offer with a $160 discount.

Shark Cordless Detect Pro Auto-Empty System | was $449.99, now $349.99 at Shark (save $100)
While it isn't the best cordless Shark vac we've tested, in our Shark Detect Pro review we were still impressed by its detection features, ease-of-use and how well the cleaning station worked. This is also the lowest price I've ever seen it, so it's the perfect chance for a cordless vacuum upgrade.
Shark Rocket Deluxe Pro | was $249.99, now $159.99 at Amazon (save $90)
One of Shark's more affordable vacuums is now even cheaper at Amazon with a generous $90 discount.
The Shark Rocket is a corded stick vacuum, which isn't the most ideal for the mobility and freedom that a cordless stick typically offers. But by omitting a battery, you don't have to worry about running out of charge, and you still get the agility granted by a stick vacuum.
Shark Stratos Upright | was $499, now $249 at Shark (save $250)

Shark VACMOP | was $99.99, now $49 at Walmart (save $50.99)
If you're after a simple hard floor cleaner, the Shark VACMOP can spray mop your floors while vacuuming debris and liquids – and it's now on offer for just $49. It uses disposable mop pads that vacuum up the messes that other mop types might simply push around. It'll definitely help you mop your floors the right way.
My Shark vacuum deal tips and tricks
As Homes & Gardens' home tech editor, I test, review, and write about vacuum cleaners daily. I've also covered every major sale event since 2021, and in that time I've picked up a few insider tips on how to secure the best Shark vacuum deals.
Shark has been in the vacuum market for a long time – since 2007, in fact – and it's released a huge variety of models since then. So, when it comes to finding a vacuum deal in the sales, it can be tricky knowing which one is best.
Design expertise in your inbox – from inspiring decorating ideas and beautiful celebrity homes to practical gardening advice and shopping round-ups.
The main thing is to do your research first. To help, start by reading our guide on how to choose the best vacuum cleaner for your home, including the best robot vacuums, to better understand which Shark model is best suited to your home.
We've also compared two of Shark's key ranges: Stratos vs. Vertex, to help you understand which is more useful for your needs.
At Shark's own website, you'll find all of the latest models they've released, alongside their full product descriptions and every part and accessory you'd need. It's the best place to go for the full lowdown of what they offer. But they don't stock many of their older models, which can instead be found at places like Walmart, Amazon and Best Buy – so if you know which one to go for, make sure to shop around.
When it comes to finding the best price and knowing whether a deal is genuinely a good one, there are a few things to keep in mind. Online stores will occasionally bump the prices before a major sale event, so the discount looks more significant on the day.
To confirm whether a live deal is good, you can use two special price tracking websites:
Honey is a price comparison tool that works across all the major retailers and online brands. If you install the extension on your browser, whenever you're viewing a product page, you'll see how expensive it is at other sites. It'll also show you price history for the past 120 days so that you can see whether it's a good time to buy it (and if the deal is genuine).
CamelCamelCamel shows the price history of any product on Amazon. Enter the product URL or name, and you'll see every price it's had since being uploaded to Amazon, so you can see when the product is at its lowest price ever. It'll also help to show you the best time of year to buy.
It's important to remember that Shark vacuums are often released in multiple versions (for example, you'll get the Shark POWERDETECT and the Shark POWERDETECT, TruePet Upgrade). The versions can denote different colors, attachments, or cleaning stations, so when comparing prices, make sure you've compared every version you're interested in.
Our favorite Shark vacuums to look out for in the sales
We've tested 14 of Shark's vacuums to find out which is worth your money. Here's how they fared in our guides. I've also picked out our top three Shark vacs to look out for in the sales below.
The Shark Cordless PowerDetect is one of the top three cordless vacuums I would recommend, from the 27 cordless vacs we've tested at H&G. There are a few more powerful than it, most notably the Dyson Gen5detect and Dyson V15 Detect, but unlike the Dysons, the Shark PowerDetect is priced reasonably, while still providing exceptional cleaning power.
On test, it had no issues vacuuming dust, debris, and hair across all floor types. Even on floors that seemed clean, the PowerDetect had sucked an impressive amount of dust out of the carpets. It's also lightweight enough to reach above your head when cleaning curtains and furniture.
The vacuum detects changes in floor type and dust volume to automatically adjust the suction power. Plus, its flexible wand can help you reach under furniture without hardly having to bend your back. You also have the option of a Clean & Empty System that's essentially a dock that stores, charges, empties, and cleans the vacuum when it's not in use.
Read our full Shark Cordless PowerDetect review to learn more.
This is the top upright we've tested, and one of the best-ever in terms of suction power. Regardless of the floor type or the mess on the floor, the POWERDETECT picked up everything in a single pass, even clearing an entire carpet of cat hair after a period of heavy shedding.
It's great for homes with a mix of floor types as it automatically adjusts suction power as you move between carpets and hard floors, and it senses floor edges so that it ups the power when you need it. It has a 12-inch floorhead that covers a lot of ground in each pass.
Like many of Shark's vacuums, the POWERDETECT comes with an odor-neutralizing cartridge that leaves a fresh scent as you clean your home. It also has LED headlights to help illuminate your floors as you clean for improved visibility.

Remember, vacuuming only goes so far. It picks up the dry messes, like the dirt, dust, and hair that accumulate on the floor. But it doesn't really clean your floors – that's where an appliance like the CarpetXpert comes in.
On test, the CarpetXpert was awarded a rare five stars for its deep cleaning capabilities. It was able to wash dirt out of an area rug that the tester was not even aware of, and it removed old, dried-on stains from some outdoor furniture.
But one of the most exciting features of the CarpetXpert, for pet owners at least, is its ability to clean up pet messes. It has a dedicated tool that can suck pet messes from your floor into its own self-contained dirty water tank to avoid contamination with the rest of the appliance. After our tester's cat vomited on the rug, the CarpetXpert (and its various tools) was able to completely clean it from the rug.

What is a good price for a Shark vacuum?
Shark's vacuums are some of the most reasonably priced on the market. They're all great vacuums with useful features and consistently reliable suction power, and Shark never seems to overprice them.
Plus, they are discounted fairly often throughout the year, so even at their low prices, I wouldn't recommend shopping for one at full price. In the past year, I've seen even their latest models reduced by $100+ multiple times, so if you time it right, you'll be able to save even more on a good quality vacuum.
For their cordless and upright vacuums, anything below $400 is a great price, or below $250 during sale seasons like Black Friday or Prime Day. Their floor cleaners and portable wet/dry vacuums can sometimes be found for less than $100, but retail most of the time between $100 and $200.
When is the best time to get a Shark vacuum deal?
Like with most home appliances, we tend to see the biggest discounts and the biggest selection of offers during sale events like Black Friday and Amazon Prime Day.
In general, the period from September to January tends to provide the best deals as it's when brands clear old stock to make way for new releases.
But Shark runs sales frequently throughout the year. This year, for example, there's been at least one sale on during each month. They don't always have the best selections, but if you're really after a Shark vacuum, you'll be able to find one year-round. In my opinion, you should never buy a Shark vacuum at full price.
Prime Day Shark vacuum deals
Amazon Prime Day delivers some huge discounts every year, whether it's the first Prime Day in July or the second in October.
Their deal selection includes newer and older Shark vacuums, so there's potential that the model you want will be on sale. But in recent years, I haven't seen the best deals on Amazon. They've either been in the competing sales from Walmart and Best Buy or direct from Shark.
Black Friday and Cyber Monday Shark vacuum deals
Although you can find Shark deals throughout the year, the best ones are normally going to be found during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It's also where you'll find the most choice, as retailers and Shark themselves will all launch their range of discounts.
Use the price comparison tools I mentioned above to make sure you're getting a price. Often, you'll find that Black Friday prices can be found at various points throughout the year.
After Christmas and New Year's Day sales
As we near the end of the year, stockists tend to clear old appliances as the new year usually means new releases. So, while you might not get the best choice, you could potentially find older Shark vacuums at their lowest prices ever during this period. Retailers also consider that people spend less during this period, so that's reflected in the price.
Labor Day Shark vacuum deals
I've always been surprised by how many deals there have been on Labor Day, especially on Shark vacuums, that even rival those found in Black Friday and Prime Day. Labor Day 2025 brought plenty of Shark vacuum deals, saving $100s on some of their best models.

FAQs
What is the best Shark vacuum for the money?
Right now, the Shark Vertex offers the best value for money, costing just $279.99 while being packed full of strong performance features. In our Shark Vertex review, we loved how well it handled different floor types, how easy it is to store the vacuum, and the fact that it comes with a five-year warranty.
Is Dyson or Shark better?
The best Dyson vacuums are some of the best vacuum cleaners on the market. They have advanced suction, particle detection and laser illumination, and in our tests they top our best vacuums list time and time again.
But that kind of cleaning power comes at a price. As we explain in our Shark vs Dyson guide, Shark's vacuums are much more affordable, and still offer impressive sets of features. Plus, they often have unique, thoughtfully-designed features – particularly noticeable in their carpet cleaners and wet/dry vacs.
Consider the best Dyson vacuums if you're looking for the best, or the best Dyson alternatives if you're looking for powerful vacuums at a fraction of the cost (unsurprisingly, many of our best alternatives are Shark vacuums).
If you find yourself spending a bit too much time cleaning up after your animals, you'll be happy to hear Shark vacuums make it into our list of the best vacuums for pet hair.
