The Luxe Marble Trend Is Everywhere, And Soho Home’s Sale Pieces Are The Ones To Watch
Marble, as you’ve never seen it before, is making a huge comeback, and Soho Home has some of the most show-stopping pieces in its sale
Marble is making a bold comeback, stealing the spotlight in homes that crave drama and texture. Once pushed aside for minimalism, it is now being reinvented in statement tables, sculptural accessories, and surfaces that demand attention.
Decorating with marble is becoming more and more ubiquitous in the most impressive and luxurious interiors, and I've scoured the Soho Home sale, which is offering up to 50 percent off selected designs, including new lines, and found some simply stunning marble pieces.
Here are the pieces I would choose. Each piece is deeply opulent and really leans into a retro style that blends a mid-century modern palette with a wonderfully glamorous touch.
For many of us, marble countertops are about the extent of marble in our homes. Although there are many beautiful marble kitchen ideas out there, marble really needn't be confined to the kitchen or bathroom.
It might feel a little daunting introducing a dose of marble to sitting rooms, dining rooms, and bedrooms, but at Soho House (the original mecca from which Soho Home was born), there is no such thing as too much marble. We are inclined to agree that marble, in all its glossy and smooth glory, can add soul to a space that might otherwise feel a little timid.
A beautiful monochromatic marble coffee table that really punctuates a living space wonderfully. This piece brings depth and interest through variations in texture and tone, and you can't help but reach out and touch it.
A smaller version of the coffee table, this marble side table is a great way to introduce the colourway and texture in a smaller dose. It also works beautifully as a bedside table idea, especially in a spare room, where storage is not essential.
This marble floor lamp is seemingly plucked from a boutique hotel. This would look sensational in a home bar or entertaining space, or in any space that would benefit from a touch of glamour and opulence.
Hand-carved from solid, turned Bulgari marble sourced in Italy, this lamp is a striking black-and-white masterpiece. More a work of art than a mere lighting fixture, it makes a bold statement in any room. A truly worthy investment, it’s sure to spark conversation among your guests.
This is my favourite piece in the Soho Home sale. It's made from dark Emperador marble, and the drawers are crafted from blonde mappa burl, a typical feature of Art Deco interiors. These are the sorts of nightstands that stay with you for a lifetime and are one of those decorating choices that will never go out of style.
What an incredible piece. If you're thinking of adding some bedroom mirror ideas to your scheme, then this is surely the ultimate piece. It's also bathroom-safe, so if you have a luxurious marble bathroom, this is a worthy investment.
This coffee table is suitable for both indoors and outdoors, so it could be used as part of your patio furniture ideas or in a sitting room or snug. If you are designing an entertaining garden, then this is a showstopper that will most definitely set the scene.
The pink marble used in this lamp is particularly beautiful and tactile. The solid marble base has intricate veining in the stone, which makes each piece unique. Place it on a desk or side table to create an ambient glow, or as part of your bookshelf ideas, as its unique and unusual shape makes it a real focal point.
The most stylish bathroom ideas tend to always be the classic ones that never go out of style. Whilst at first glance this marble vanity works in a more retro bathroom design, it's an aesthetic that truly never dates. Its price point makes it an investment, but the craftsmanship and materials here make it well worth the money.
Marble is more than just a material – it’s a statement. As interior designer Sean Symington notes, 'Marble is incredibly versatile and a personal favourite is honed marble that looks worn and genuinely lived in, adding depth, character, and a real sense of time. Used sparingly and paired with warm textures and good lighting, it feels genuinely timeless.'
