Neutralize musty fall odors in minutes with this Shark air purifier that I rely on daily – it cleanses multiple rooms at once, and is $200 cheaper than usual
Refurbished appliances meet rigorous testing standards so that they're essentially the same as brand-new ones, but more affordable

Just because our windows and doors are closed more often now that summer's over, we don't have to be trapped inside with musty, stale air and odors. An air purifier is all you need to suck away unpleasant smells and cooking gases, as well as remove pollutants and viruses from your air.
Amazon Renewed is selling a refurbished version of the Shark NeverChange Air Purifier MAX for just $187.99. That's almost $200 less than the retail price on the best air purifier we've tested at Homes & Gardens.
I've been using the Shark NeverChange MAX for over a year, and it still works as quickly as it did when I first unboxed it. Here's why it's our favorite, and why refurbished picks are a great way to get stellar tech at affordable prices.
Shark NeverChange Air Purifier MAX | $187.99 at Amazon (refurbished)
Normally costing $379.99 at Shark, this ultra-powerful purifier can cover spaces up to 1,400 feet, so robustly that it can tackle multiple rooms at once. I use it at home and it gets rid of odors, pollutants and gases in minutes.
This refurbished model has been tested to meet strict operating standards just like a new model would, and it comes with a brand-new, sealed HEPA filter.

Why I rank the Shark NeverChange Air Purifier MAX above all others
The Shark NeverChange Air Purifier MAX has dense pre-filters that protect the inner HEPA filter for up to five years.
The Shark NeverChange MAX works by pulling in air, trapping the particles within it, then releasing cleaner air back into your space. This is how it's able to capture common household allergens like dust, pollen and dander, using a HEPA filter just like the best vacuums.
And when it comes to gases, odors, and smoke, the air purifier uses an activated charcoal filter that removes these non-solid particles. I use the NeverChange MAX almost every day, and it works rapidly to remove smells from a room (sometimes I forget to turn it off when lighting an incense, then act surprised when I can't smell anything).
Typically, an air purifier with this functionality costs anywhere from $250 to $500+, as you can see with the Molekule Air Mini+, which covers a smaller area. So, this refurbished model, which has been restored to full working order, is a welcome loophole to save big on one of the highest-performing purifiers you can buy.
And what's more, thanks to its protective pre-filters, you won't have to replace the main HEPA and charcoal filter for up to five years, saving $100s on recurring filter costs that you'd have to buy with other models.

The NeverChange MAX can cover a huge 1,400 square feet, which gives it the airflow and purification speed necessary to cleanse multiple rooms at once.
Honestly, I couldn't recommend it more. Don't be put off by the fact that it's refurbished. When stores refurbish old appliances, they meet incredibly strict standards so that they can be sold as the same product as the original. It comes with a sealed, brand-new HEPA filter.
The refurbished Shark NeverChange Air Purifier MAX is available for $187.99 at Amazon.

All prices were correct at time of publication.
One of our favorite Amazon Prime Day deals is the Coway Airmega Mighty, discounted by $78 for a limited time only. It doesn't cover as much space as the Shark (361 square feet compared to the Shark's 1,400), but it will take up much less space on your floor.

To get more out of your purifier, the Shark 3-in-1 can warm you up or cool you down, sending temperature-controlled, purified air your way.

If you're looking to create a non-toxic home, the Molekule purifiers are the best for avoiding contact with any viruses, thanks to special PECO technology that destroys pollutants at the molecular level. It's one of the only purifiers FDA-approved as a Class II medical device.
