Jenna Dewan's luxe cabinet color will never go out of style – and it makes her closet look larger
The stormy cabinet color gives her closet a warm, luxurious feel, and design experts are taking note
Loud luxury is on the rise, and Jenna Dewan's closet is the latest evidence. The actress's dressing room is an opulent haven with marble parquet floors, gold hardware, and open shelving. However, the most notable feature in Jenna's closet is her cabinet color.
Jenna's closet cabinets are painted a deep and stormy charcoal gray. Her closet storage idea enhances the luxe feel of the space with stylized, timeless appeal.

'Dark cabinets have become more and more popular in design over the past few years, and it's refreshing to see them here in a walk-in closet,' says Jennifer Ebert, color expert and digital editor at Homes & Gardens. She continues, 'The charcoal color turns her cabinets from a storage method into a beautiful element of interior design in her space. The dark color adds a sense of depth and glamor to the dressing room.'
Jen is the Editor (Digital) of Homes & Gardens. Before starting this position, she had completed various interior design courses at KLC Design School, as well as working across Ideal Home, LivingEtc, 25 Beautiful Homes and Country Homes & Interiors as an interiors writer.
Jennifer adds, 'Charcoal gray is a modern classic. Decorating with gray can bring in a cool, grounding shade into your space. The color has similar effects to black, but its lighter hue makes it a bit softer and more versatile.'

According to experts, the hardware and flooring in Jenna's closet organization idea further add to the opulence of her space. 'Marble floors are a luxury flooring design, so adding the aspect of charcoal cabinets only enhances the luxurious feeling,' says Rotem Eylor, flooring expert at Republic Flooring.
Rotem Eylor is the hands-on CEO and Founder of Republic Floor, a successful flooring company based in California and Texas. Republic Floor manufactures a huge range of waterproof engineered flooring options that are widely used across the US.
He continues, 'From a design perspective, this flooring idea is a great pairing because of the contrast. You don’t want dark flooring and dark cabinets because it makes the space feel smaller. Having light floors with contrasting charcoal cabinets adds depth, dimension, and visual appeal.' This contrast makes charcoal gray paint a great choice in any space; whether juxtaposed with lighter walls, floors, or furniture, the look is always striking.
Rotem adds: 'Maximalism and the idea of “loud luxury” will occur throughout 2024, and this look falls right into that. Regardless of trends, it is also a timeless look.'
