Target is famous for being the place to visit the day after Christmas to seek out discounts on holiday clearance and scour the racks for yellow tag clearance stickers. However, you can find some excellent discounts online, and shop from the comfort of the sofa and avoid the crowds.
After Christmas Sales are the peak time to save on holiday décor, the gift you wanted but didn't get, or to simply spend those gift cards that were in your stocking, as retailers make way to clear out overstock in time for the New Year, and Target will not be one to disappoint this year.
Here are some of the best Target deals (opens in new tab) to shop happening right now - we're already seeing items for 50% off.
When is the Target after Christmas sale?
Right now! Target launched its Weekly Ad (opens in new tab) on Christmas Day, with discounts on kitchenware and much else beside. Target is open on the 26th, and — hot off the presses — they've just announced the The Target Clearance Run, with huge deals across a wide range of products.
What's on sale at Target after Christmas?
- Up to 50% off small kitchen appliances including PowerXL and Keurig (opens in new tab)
- Up to 40% off select floorcare including iRobot, Shark and more (opens in new tab)
- Up to 40% off TVs and other electronics (opens in new tab)
- Up to 50% off connected home and security from Amazon, Ring, Google and more (opens in new tab)
- Up to 20% off select bedding (opens in new tab)
- Up to 50% off select sleepwear (opens in new tab)
- Up to 50% off select toys (opens in new tab)
- Up to 50% off select home décor (opens in new tab)
Away from specific deals, there's more general offers on discounts too:
- Get $10 off a $50 purchase in food and beverage using same-day services (Dec. 30-Jan. 1)
- Get a $15 Target gift card with a $50 purchase across household essentials like laundry, paper towels, bath tissue and cleaning products
With all this said, bear in mind that there's a knack to Target discounts. Acting fast before stock runs out is a smart move, but at the same time, clearance could hit as much as 75% or even 90% off in the final days of the sale if any inventory is left. You should err on the safe side and buy now if there's something you need immediately, and wait few days for huge savings on anything nice-to-have but not necessary.

Are Target's after Christmas sales as good as Black Friday's?
There’s much less fanfare than Black Friday, but sales can be as good, if not better. It depends on what you’re buying. The Target after Christmas sales will be a great time to snag holiday decor and clearance, for instance.
