When does the Target after-Christmas sale begin?
Blink and you could miss the best deals of the year on holiday decor at Target

Jaclyn Turner
Target is famous for its after-Christmas sales. A trip to Target is perfect for grabbing discounts on holiday clearance, and if you scour the racks for yellow tag clearance items you can find huge savings. However, you can find some excellent discounts online, and shop from the comfort of the sofa and avoid the crowds.
Retailers are desperate to get rid of stock in time for the New Year, so the After Christmas Sales are the perfect time to save on holiday décor for next year, the gift you wanted but didn't get, or to spend any gift cards you received over the holidays.
Here are some of the best Target deals to shop happening right now. We're already seeing items for 50% off.
When is the Target after Christmas sale?
Target is open as usual on the on the 26th, so you start finding deals in person from 7:00am. You can start even earlier online.
However, Target announced lots of deals in the run up to Christmas too, with up to $100 off Apple products, 50% off video games, and 50% off toys.
What's on sale at Target after Christmas?
- Up to 50% off small kitchen appliances including PowerXL and Keurig
- Up to 40% off select floorcare including iRobot, Shark and more
- Up to 40% off TVs and other electronics
- Up to 50% off smart home security from Amazon, Ring, and more
- Up to 20% off select bedding
- Up to 50% off select sleepwear
- Up to 50% off select toys

However, bear in mind that there's a knack to Target discounts. Acting fast before stock runs out is a smart move, but at the same time, clearance could hit as much as 75% or even 90% off in the final days of the sale if any inventory is left. You should err on the safe side and buy now if there's something you need immediately, and wait a few days for huge savings on anything nice-to-have but not necessary.
