One of the easiest ways to refresh your space for winter is to incorporate throw blankets for a cozy layered look, and I've found that Nordstrom has some of the best collections of luxury blankets from some of our favorite top brands.
Whether you’re looking for a fuzzy faux fur UGG blanket, a coveted Barefoot Dreams blanket, or want something a little more functional like the Bearaby weighted blanket, we’ve got your Nordstrom shopping covered with these top picks.
I'm not a fan of everything on offer, so I've scoured the Nordstrom home section for the best throw blankets and whittled it down to the very top, including some luxurious styles that are under $50.
The Best Nordstrom Throw Blankets
While Nordstrom is home to some luxurious blankets, you don’t need to spend a lot to get that same appeal. Case in point: The Nordstrom brand Bliss Plush Throw Blanket. This throw features a classic fleece look, only elevated with chunky tassels for a more decorative finish. Toss it over your couch’s armrest or place it at the foot of your bed for a functional yet decorative moment.
Nordstrom has one of the best collections of Barefoot Dreams blankets, including the classic ChozyChic Throw Blanket. Beloved by none other than Kylie Jenner, the microfiber blanket has an extra soft and cozy feel that keeps you warm in the winter but is still breathable enough to keep on your couch or accent chair year-round.
If you want to decorate your home for the winter season, don’t skip out on the UGG Coastline Faux Fur Throw Blanket, which is the perfect texture for winter home decor. This plush blanket is a stunning layering piece for virtually any cozy space in your home, including a reading nook, guest bed, and - of course - couch.
For an under $50 blanket option, consider the UpWest Softest Throw Blanket. This blanket is constructed from a soft acrylic textile and - as its name suggests - is so soft. We love it because it has a simple hygge look and provides a little bit of texture thanks to its tasselled edges.
For an under $100 faux fur blanket option, consider the UnHide Li’l Marsh Medium Plush Blanket from Nordstrom. This cozy throw blanket comes in six different colors and has a light, yet therapeutic weight to it, making it feel like a luxury pick. The blanket is also made from 100 percent polyester, so it’s super easy to clean.
The Bearaby Organic Cotton Weighted Knit Blanket is one of our favorite blankets we own because it’s not only functional as a weighted blanket but it’s also super stylish, too. The chunky knit blanket comes in six colors and three different weights, allowing you to choose one that looks and feels the best for your needs.
Do weighted blankets actually work?
There's little scientific evidence that weighted blankets make your calmer, but then 'calmer' isn't a particularly scientific term. Anecdotally, most people who use weighted blankets find that they make them calmer.
Once you have you blanket, it's vital to learn how to wash fleece, so you can keep you blanket in perfect condition.
