If you’re tackling a spring clearout and feeling overwhelmed by a kitchen crowded with appliances, you’re not alone. Of all the workhorses, however, the coffee maker can be the most awkward.
The compact Keurig K-Supreme SMART Single Serve Coffee Maker is designed with these challenges in mind. Its small footprint fits under cabinets and snugly next to other appliances, while the movable water reservoir lets you customize placement to suit your counter. In other words, it works with the existing space in your kitchen, not against it, and remains versatile in its footprint.
It has earned its place as our best Keurig coffee maker, and with its current $100 discount when you build a bundle, it’s the ideal time to streamline your coffee station.

While an automated brewer isn't strictly necessary if appliance-free countertops are your priority this season, to go without it would undoubtedly compromise an otherwise efficient morning routine.
That's where a compact selection, such as this Keurig, presents the perfect middle ground at just 12 inches deep and 6.36 inches wide, with its tank positioned at the back. It will also comfortably fit under cabinets with a modest height of 12.2 inches.
The unique dual-position reservoir also means you can choose the optimal position for your countertops at the side or back at any time. It's available in three colors (black, white, and gray). If you build a bundle on the Keurig website now, you get the coffee maker for just $79, saving $100.
If you have a compact kitchen, you will know the constant juggle modern conveniences can present: Trying to keep kitchen counters clear with appliances on display for easy utilization often results in barely enough room to prep a meal.
While the best non-toxic coffee makers, such as the Aarke and OXO Brew, both available at Amazon, prioritize a tall, statuesque presence, the Keurig K-Supreme SMART offers a more versatile silhouette, featuring a unique dual-position reservoir.

This allows the appliance to tuck into narrow alcoves with its tank positioned at the back, or it can sit flush against a backsplash with the reservoir positioned at its side so you can reclaim precious countertop depth in front.
For years, I resigned myself to living without one of the best coffee makers altogether, but that need not be the case.
It may seem counterintuitive to bring a new addition home when tackling your spring cleaning list, but making thoughtful swaps for space-saving appliances is one of the easiest ways to reclaim the area without sacrificing the daily benefits that modern comforts can bring.
This compact, meticulously designed Keurig K-Supreme SMART, reviewed by our appliance expert Camryn Rabideau, is designed with this tricky balance in mind, and can be easily slotted underneath cabinets or up against other appliances.
The versatility of the dual tank position can make its profile constantly adaptable, depending on what your countertop needs are week to week.
Camryn tested the coffee maker with coffee, hot chocolate, and apple cider K-Cups, and each brewed beautifully. It is pictured here with the tank positioned at the back.
What we found remarkable during our testing is how complete the brewing experience is despite the small size. You can select from multiple cup sizes, make an extra-strong brew, or even craft iced coffee without the need for additional gadgets or appliances. And it does all this without taking up any unnecessary space.
The SMART features include Wi-Fi and app connectivity, allowing you to start your morning cup whilst in another room, and the clever system is able to keep your K-Cup supply stocked just as your levels start to dip. You can also get exclusive in-app barista tips for the perfect latte, leaving guesswork out of the picture.
Even the setup of the machine proved effortless during our testing, and adjusting the reservoir to sit on either the side or the rear of the machine is simple, according to our tester, Camryn. The design is something I wish I had discovered years ago when I first started struggling with limited counter space.
Measuring 12.15” (H) x 7.85” (W) x 12.02” (L) with the reservoir to the side, and 12.15” (H) x 6.36” (W) x 15.11” (L) with the reservoir to the rear, it won't get in your way throughout the day. It's a much-needed treat to reward and complement the rest of your spring decluttering efforts without feeling like it's constantly in the way.
What to Shop
If you’re trying to create a functional, clutter-free coffee station as part of your spring clearout, it’s possible, even in the smallest of kitchens.
To assist, I’ve curated six space-saving coffee bar essentials that will enable you to build a streamlined, café-style setup without sacrificing crucial counter space or everyday convenience:
I love how compact this Keurig model is, and the dual configuration options for the reservoir make this a surefire win for kitchens lacking space or with limited options for placement. The SMART features make operation even simpler.
If you need something even smaller than the K-Supreme Smart, look no further than the K-Mini Mate. This extra small appliance measures just 9.34"D x 3.94"W x 9.46"H and is available in four vibrant colors (including red, pink, and mint green). It doesn't have as many features as the SMART model, but it still brews 12-oz cups of coffee according to shopper reviews.
After working with professional organizers for years, I quickly discovered that it is often not the everyday items that result in the most clutter, but their accessories. This pull-out K-Cup drawer houses them directly beneath the appliance, using vertical storage to save space while keeping them within easy reach of your appliance.
This swing-down accessible organizer houses your coffee pods under the base of your cabinets, for easy, discreet access if you do not want a bulk drawer causing visual clutter on your countertop. It's the perfect tiny yet discreet coffee bar organization idea.
Your coffee mugs take up valuable space in your cabinets. Using otherwise wasted vertical space directly below your cabinets or shelving can take some of the pressure off of your small kitchen storage, while ensuring your everyday essentials are quick and easy to access.
If the only space you have for your coffee maker is inside a cabinet or pantry, or inside an appliance garage, consider a pull-out storage tray. This acacia wood sits neatly in place and looks chic, whilst providing vital sliding storage.
Once you have swapped to free up countertop space, brush up on how to descale a Keurig with vinegar as part of your spring cleaning checklist to keep your new appliances working at their best for years to come.
