Sure, color can add a warm, vibrant feel to a bedroom, but the allure of classic, crisp, white bedding is impossible to ignore. Though the shade has been around for centuries, it still looks just as beautiful and stylish.

Michelle Pfeiffer proves it by showing off her stunning white bed sheets on Instagram. The post displays the actress sitting cross-legged on her all-white bed against a tan bedframe. All of the lines feel clean, minimalist, and automatically appealing. This is true in any space where the color is used.

'There is nothing more inviting than crisp white bed linen adding a touch of luxury to any bedroom,' explains Joanna Ross, design expert at Australian bedding brand Sheridan. She continues: 'Immediately transporting you to the finest five-star hotel, white bedding is timeless and never goes out of style.'

Furthermore, white linens are a timeless bedroom idea that will never date and stay just as on-trend over the years. Joanna states: 'White is strong and modern again. Sometimes a fresh white on white room offers the perfect respite we crave at the day’s end.'

If you're not yet convinced because you consider white bedding to be 'too minimalist,' you'll be happy to know there are lots of methods for bringing warmth and style into a white bedroom idea. These techniques are highly customizable, so you can select bedding based on your personal preferences.

Joanna recommends: 'Where color is absent, amped-up texture and tactility steps in - comforting our senses through touch. We have seen furniture and ceramics take on a more “human” tone through their soft curves and textured finishes, so, naturally, our bedding layers follow suit. Classic ribs nestle with embroidery, or quilted white pattern and pleating… a nurturing trend that offers true individuality and longevity.'

Adding a variety of throw pillows, blankets, and even quilts and duvets in different textures can help accomplish this cozy warmth.

Trends come and go, but there's nothing better than the classics. White bedding will always be our go-to, as adding personality and interest is much easier than you might think.
