Amazon Prime Day 2025 – I'm a shopping editor, here's everything we know so far
Myself and our expert team of eCommerce editors are here to help you shop the best Amazon deals on furniture, appliances and more ahead of Prime Day

If you've been waiting for the prime time to save on that smart appliance or perfect new piece of furniture, you're in luck. Only weeks after Amazon wrapped up their Big Spring Sale, the global retailer will likely announce the next Amazon Prime Day for sometime in July 2025.
I'm an eCommerce editor, and ever since the first Prime Day back in 2015, the massive sale event has always landed in July (even after Amazon introduced a second Prime Day in October). So, you might be able to grab some exciting home upgrades sooner than you think.
In the meantime, there are still deals to be had in the Amazon Home sale that's live right now, spanning everything from the best non-toxic air fryers to the best coffee makers that we use in our own homes. We've also picked out some of our favorites to look out for when Prime Day arrives, and provided tips on how to make sure you're getting the best deal.
Shop Amazon sales by department
While we gear up for Prime Day, you can still browse all of the many, many deals currently live at Amazon.
- Amazon appliance deals: Discounts of $150+ on kitchen appliances, cleaners and smart tech.
- Amazon bedding deals: Save up to 54% on high-quality mattresses, toppers and bed sheets.
- Amazon heating and cooling deals: Fans, purifiers and dehumidifiers with up to 50% off, perfect in time for summer.
- Amazon home decor deals: Mirrors, rugs, lighting and more with up to 51% off.

- Amazon kitchen and dining deals: Air fryers, coffee makers and discounted essentials with up to 46% off.
Our favorite products to look out for
Each of our shopping writers has their niche. Lydia covers kitchen content, including blenders, juicers, and air fryers. Charlotte covers all things style, clued up on the latest and greatest interior trends and products to buy. And I'm Dan, Homes & Gardens' resident home tech expert, specializing in vacuum cleaners and air purifiers.
These are some of our personal favorite home goods available at Amazon. We always look out for these in the sales (and luckily, they're often discounted).
Our kitchen appliances editor Lydia Hayman says: 'I always recommend this one to families with plenty of kitchen space and lots of mouths to feed. We actually just got two of these air fryers for our shared office, since they are so quick and easy to use in busy lunch hours. It's one of the best Ninja air fryers.'
Our Place makes non-toxic cookware with extreme temperature capability: you could put this pan in the oven or on the hob up to 1000°F. The Always Pan is free from PFAS or Forever Chemicals, yet still non-stick, so it's suitable for delicate cooking of eggs, pancakes, crepes, and the like without the risk of toxic chemicals leaching into your food.

If you're looking for instant, tasty coffee, Nespresso's popular Vertuo Plus coffee maker is a great choice. I use a Nespresso machine at home and I love the quality of the coffee pods, and there are plenty of flavors to choose from.
Debuting in 2016, the V8 is still a popular choice for pet owners and those looking for a small, quick, convenient cleaner. It doesn't have Dyson's latest technology like in the Dyson V15 Detect for example, but it's effective on carpets and hard floors alike, exhibiting many of the qualities that we look for in the best cordless vacuums.

The Ooni Koda 12 is one of the best pizza ovens we've tested, and it's as simple as hooking up to propane. The oven heats up in 15 minutes and cooks pizzas in two. You can also cook more than pizzas – our tester used it with a cast iron skillet to make grilled chicken and roasted vegetables.

'I always buy my coffee table books on Amazon as it tends to be the cheapest place to pick up design books for less. I'm finally adding designer Amber Lewis' 'Call It Home' to my basket this week while it's 45% off – I can't wait to leaf through her images to get some inspo for my remodel,' writes Charlotte Olby, style and trends editor.
Style and trends editor Charlotte Olby says: 'I'm always browsing the sales for patio furniture deals that will help me spread my garden reno budget further. I've got my eye on this boho-style loveseat that is the cheapest, and best reviewed all-weather wicker I've seen.'
If you're looking to jump on the kitchen countertop lighting trend, I highly recommend a portable, wireless lamp like this one. It's petite, chic, has three brightness settings and should last between 10-16 hours on a full charge.
We've tested 18 of the best robot vacuums at Homes & Gardens, and our favorite when you balance price and cleaning power is the eufy X10 Pro Omni. It vacuums, mops, empties itself, and builds a detailed map of your home. On test, it performed similar to some robots that cost twice as much.

When is the best time to get an Amazon deal?
You can find deals at Amazon all-year-round. They're one of the best retailers for low prices and frequent discounts, and whether it's furniture, appliances or essentials you're shopping for, you're pretty much always guaranteed to find some savings.
Sign up to the Homes & Gardens newsletter
Design expertise in your inbox – from inspiring decorating ideas and beautiful celebrity homes to practical gardening advice and shopping round-ups.
But waiting for the major sales like the ones I've listed below is the best way to secure the biggest discounts all year. Whether it's Black Friday, Memorial Day or Labor Day, brands themselves will launch offers on their goods across all of the retailers, so Amazon will be able to drop prices further than they usually would.
Amazon Prime Day deals
You will see the greatest breadth and depth of Amazon deals on Amazon Prime Day. Remember, there are two Prime Days each year – one in July, one in October – and each event typically lasts for 48 hours.
In my experience as a sales hunter, the deepest Amazon Prime Day deals are on Amazon hardware, such as Kindles, Fire Tablets, and Echo devices. If you're shopping specifically for home goods, you're just as likely to find a deep discount on Black Friday.
Where Amazon Black Friday deals are open to everyone, you can only make the most of Amazon Prime Day deals if you're a Prime member.
However, many other major retailers, including Walmart and Best Buy, tend to run their own counter-sales around Amazon Prime Day, and you don't have to be a member to shop at those, though you can grab a free 30-day Amazon Prime trial and cancel before it renews.
Amazon Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals
Amazon Black Friday deals start dropping around a week in advance of the big day. If you want to beat the crowds and bag a bargain on a trending appliance, I suggest you shop early.
In my experience, Black Friday is the best time to shop for homeware, whether it's the best non-toxic air fryers or the best pizza ovens. It's when all the major home retailers compete to offer the lowest prices. I've seen sheet sets on sale for less than half price, hundreds of dollars off mattresses and sofas, and deep discounts on small and large appliances.
Amazon Lightning deals
Amazon Lightning Deals are flash sales that pop up around major sales periods. You're less likely to find small or large appliances in the Lightning Deals section – think more along the lines of skincare, make-up, and other impulse buys.
You can make Lightning Deals work for you by stocking up on a few inexpensive items to get you over the threshold for free delivery. So, if I were buying a $35 sheet set, but I needed to spend $40 to qualify for free delivery, I could shop the Lightning Deals section to pick up a few cheap favors. Anything from your essential cleaning toolkit would be perfect.
Amazon Spring Sale deals
Amazon have ran a few spring sales in their time. Although the name varies (t might be the Big Spring Sale or Spring Deal Days), you can expect Amazon to be running a sale event every year around this time. It usually lands at the end of March, and it's a great opportunity to prepare your home for spring.
How can you tell if you've found a good deal at Amazon?
Download a price tracking tool
Shop like an eCommerce Editor and use a price tracking tool, which gives you access to the price history of a particular product. That way, you can work out from context whether you're actually getting a good deal, or if you'd be better off waiting for prices to fall further in the next holiday sales.
For Amazon, I recommend CamelCamelCamel. Here's how it works: paste the Amazon link or ASIN into CamelCamelCamel's search bar, and you'll see the product's lowest recorded price, as well as its average price, and when that price tends to fluctuate.
These figures form 'humps' on a line graph, like the back of a camel, hence the name.
Use comparison sites
This could be as easy as clicking the Google 'Shopping' tab at the top of your search engine results page. You might find that the best deal isn't on Amazon at all, but Target, Wayfair, QVC or somewhere else entirely.
Only buy the items you actually need
Throughout the year, I keep a wish list of the items and appliances I want to buy. Sometimes, I add the item to my cart before the sale begins, so that I can buy it right away when the deal drops.
When the sales start, I'm strict with myself –I only let myself shop from my wish list. That way, I get the dopamine hit from bargain-hunting, but I don't fall victim to overspending.
FAQs
Do you have to be a Prime member to access Amazon deals?
Technically, no. Every day, Amazon drops hundreds of deals, many of which are open to the public. With that said, if you want to access the deepest discounts and the widest range of deals with fast delivery, you should sign up for Amazon Prime.
This is especially true for Prime Day, as everything labelled as a 'Prime Day deal' is exclusive to Prime members.
Here's a workaround if you want this access but you don't want to pay for Prime all year: sign up for the one-month free Amazon Prime trial right before you want to shop.
For that month, you'll get free one-day delivery, plus access to Amazon's Prime Video streaming service. As long as you cancel before the 30-day cut-off, you won't be charged. If you forget to cancel your payment, you'll be charged $14.99 a month.
Is Prime Day worth it?
It might seem like over-hype, but Prime Day is a better time to find a deal than almost all other sale events. Other than Black Friday, Prime Day is where you'll see the most choice of what's on offer, and some of the lowest prices all year. I've seen products from the best cordless vacuums to the best grills discounted to around half their retail price.
What time does Prime Day start and end?
Prime Day runs for an entire 24 to 48-hour period, depending whether it's a one or two day event.
Once the official date is announced, Prime Day will start at 00:01 and end at 23:59 Pacific time. So, if you're on the West coast it'll start at midnight, but if you're on the East coast it'll begin at 3am. In the UK, Prime Day goes from midnight to midnight.
Is everything on sale on Prime Day?
No, sadly. It may seem like everything is discounted because of how many products genuinely are, but there are still many goods that aren't discounted during Prime Day. That's why, as eCommerce editors, we spend hours searching through to handpick the best Prime Day home deals directly to you.
Can I get alerts for Amazon deals?
Yes. Download the Amazon Shopping app at Google or Apple and subscribe to deal notifications on items on your wish list.
