Combining vacuuming and mopping into one swift activity has cut hours of floor cleaning time from my life. It helps, too, that the vacuum-mop can clear stains, pick up debris, and sanitize the floors in virtually one pass every time.
The Dreame H14 Pro, discounted by $270 for a limited time, has done more than free up time at home; it also cleans more thoroughly than regular mopping, and leaves the floors dry only a few minutes later. This price actually puts it close to the discounts the brand offered up on Black Friday, making it a great value deal right now.
A recent survey from ECOVACS revealed that US householders spend 57 minutes cleaning their floors on average a week. But with my best vacuum-mop, I can deep clean mine in under 30 minutes.
Dreame H14 Pro | was $699.99, now $429.99 at Dreame (save $270)
This model impressed me so much during testing that I've continued to use it in my home for almost a year, and it's transformed how quickly and easily I can deep clean my floors.

The Dreame H14 Pro Frees Up Hours of Chore Time, Scrubbing and Vacuuming Mess From Your Floors
Spending around an hour a week sanitizing our floors really puts into perspective how much time we dedicate to chores as the months go on.
Those of us with bigger homes or lots of hard floors also know it can take much longer to really mop every surface thoroughly, and even longer to be able to walk on dry floors again.
During winter, this is felt even more, as our naturally lower energy levels don't always give us the motivation to deep clean our homes, whilst sludge, salt, and other winter floor debris get dragged in daily.
But now that I use the Dreame H14 Pro, I've halved my floor cleaning time. As my home mostly has hard flooring – tile, wood, and laminate – I just use the vacuum-mop combo to actually wash and sanitize every surface, and it's as effortless as using one of the best cordless vacuums.
I'm a professional vacuum tester (yes, my home is immaculate), and the Dreame H14 Pro is one model that I continue to recommend time and time again because of how much it has genuinely improved my relationship with chores at home.
I awarded it five stars after testing, noting that its high $699.99 price point is worth it for the time-saving benefits. So, to see it discounted by a huge $270 – similar to what we saw on Black Friday – this is even more of a stellar purchase. I honestly couldn't recommend it more.
I've watched stubborn stains vanish in seconds, I've vacuumed up entire bowls of milk and cereal in one, and I even use it to vacuum up leaves that our shoes have trodden in.
It's completely cordless, so there's no moving the plug socket around the house. It detects how dirty your floors are and automatically optimizes suction and moisture to make sure each area is cleaned properly.
Unlike other models like the Dyson WashG1, or even many of the best robot vacuums, the Dreame H14 Pro doesn't just clean with water. It uses a specialized cleaning solution to sanitize surfaces that smells fresh, is non-sticky, and is safe for pets and bare feet to walk on.
This solution only costs $17.99 at Dreame, too, and as you only need a bottle cap, it lasts for ages (I'm still on my first bottle after almost a year of use).
It also lies completely flat to reach under furniture, and the charging dock puts it through a deep self-cleaning and self-drying process to prevent bacteria buildup and nasty smells.
It's rare for new floorcare products to be released that actually introduce something new. The best Dyson vacuums bring higher suction, the best Miele vacuums bring longer lifespans, but a vacuum-mop with such strong performance actually changes how quickly and easily it is to tackle an arduous but essential household task.
The Dreame H14 Pro is discounted to $429.99 at Dreame.

As Homes & Gardens' chief floorcare tester, I can recommend plenty more gadgets that can save time and effort this winter and beyond.
All prices correct at time of publication.
Discounted right now to $115, less than the Dreame H14 Pro, the Tineco Floor One Stretch S6 cleans almost as efficiently and boasts many of the same features, including automatic dirt detection and the ability to lie flat to clean under furniture easily.

If you rug around the house, this is one of the only models that can use dry suction to clean soft flooring. Plus, it's cheaper than the Dreame and the Tineco, and $70 cheaper than when it was first released.

If you're not ready to splash out on the full-sized vacuum-mop, the Shark MessMaster is a portable and more affordable option. It's small enough to carry around the house and keep in a cabinet, while being able to vacuum solids and liquids at once. It doesn't have a brushroll, though, so it won't clean stains.

Our testing sessions revealed that the Tineco Floor One S7 Pro left floors dry the fastest. If your home has moisture-sensitive floors such as sealed hardwood, this is a safer choice.

I'd be remiss while talking about saving time, to not mention one of the most powerful robot vacuums we've got our hands on, that vacuums and mops your floors for you, as often as multiple times a day.

The Yeedi S20 Infinity is the next step-up from the S14 Plus, with stronger suction and deeper mopping that really impressed on test, leaving hardly any mess behind. Amazon isn't listing the original MSRP, but this used to cost $1,599.99 – and is now just $999.99.
