Jennifer Lopez improves Feng Shui in her bathroom using this tall, clutter-free shelving technique
In Feng Shui, the bathroom is considered to have the lowest flow of energy of all spaces – here's how the singer changed that in her home

Of all spaces, the question of how to improve Feng Shui matters the most in the bathroom. According to experts, the bathroom is considered to have the lowest flow of energy of all the rooms in our home due to its historically ‘unhygienic’ nature – and this includes Jennifer Lopez's abode. Like every home, JLo's bathroom faces the same Feng Shui complications; however (whether intentional or not), the singer has improved the energy in her space with one key element: her storage.
As experts explain, the relationship between our bathroom storage and Feng Shui is surprisingly influential – and, though seemingly simple, choosing tall, vertical cabinets (similar to the one seen in Lopez's space) is notably impactful.
The singer has opted for tall, thin gray cabinets that utilize every inch of the area available. Naturally, we love how they accentuate the space and turn an otherwise 'dead area' into storage, but there's more to the unit than its hidden shelving.

Creating a clutter-free environment is among the most significant things we can do to promote positive bathroom Feng Shui, says Ruth Foster, interior design expert at Victoria Plumb. She urges us to choose tall cabinets like those seen in Lopez's space.
'To enhance the flow of Chi, it’s essential to maintain a sense of openness and fluidity in the bathroom. This can be achieved by keeping the space tidy and ensuring there’s a clear pathway for energy to move freely,' she begins. 'A clutter-free bathroom not only looks more appealing but also allows for better energy flow.'
Minimizing clutter promotes a better energy flow, hence creating a 'calm and serene environment' that's perfect for unwinding while in the bath, shower, or preparing for bed. 'Clever storage solutions such as tall units and floating shelves to keep essentials neatly organized.'
Alongside choosing the right storage, Foster says we can improve Feng Shui through our bathroom light choices.

'Natural light and good ventilation are key components of Feng Shui, as they help to refresh energy and keep the space feeling vibrant and airy. It’s important to take this into consideration when designing your bathroom,' she says. She recommends incorporating large windows or skylights where possible and using light, sheer curtains to maximize natural light.
'If natural light is limited, consider using mirrors strategically [a technique also seen in Lopez's space] to reflect light and create a brighter atmosphere.'
