I'm a product tester – these are the best Target New Year sales
After working through hundreds, I found the best Target New Year sales
The New Year sales are in full swing and Target's deals are some of the very best. While you'll find big discounts in store, you don't have to pull yourself out of your cozy post-Christmas comfort. There's plenty of deals online.
There's hundreds of products for sale, but with so much on markdown, it can be hard to work out what's best to buy. That's where I come in.
As a shopping writer and product tester, I've been working my way through the New Year sales to find the very best deals. After whittling away the worst, here are the Target after-Christmas deals that are actually worth your money.
The deals
KitchenAid Classic 5 Qt. Stand Mixer KSM150PS | Was $329.99, now $252.99 at Target
I've spent the last few weeks boring my friends and family with this advice, but if you want a cheap KitchenAid, but a Classic over an Artisan. It's not quite as good, but it looks identical, though only available in black and white.
Ninja Professional Plus Kitchen System with Auto-IQ | Was $219.99, now $189.99 at Amazon
This blender is unbelievably good value: an enormous 72 oz. pitcher combines with a 64 oz. food processor bowl for two functions in one appliance. It also has two 24 oz. blending cups for single-serve drinks to take away. It can easily crush ice and it blends delicious smoothies. It's not the lowest I've seen it but it's still good value.
Instant Vortex Plus Dual Air Fryer | Was $199, now $139.99 at Target
This is the larger two-basket version of our favorite ever air fryer. It has a see-through window and anti-odor tech that make it a dream to use. It's worth bearing in mind that this air fryer was on sale for $20 less on Black Friday, so you might want to hold out for a better deal.
KitchenAid Cordless 5 Cup Food Chopper KFCB519 | was $99.99, now $79.99 at Target
We loved this mini food processor on test. It's great for grilling outdoors in summer; we found that because it's cordless, it's convenient to take this out to the grill to mix up fresh salsa and guacamole.
Ninja Foodi 8 Quart 6-in-1 DualZone XL Air Fryer | Was $199.99, now $179.99 at Target
This deal was $30 cheaper on Black Friday, but you might think it's still worth a discount on the fastest air fryer we've ever tested. It makes two meals at once, fast.
Vitamix Explorian Blender | Was $349.95, now $299.95 on Target
Vitamix make our favorite blenders, but they're infamous for being overpriced. The Explorian is one of their cheaper models, and even cheaper in the Target after-Christmas sales.
Nespresso Vertuo Next Coffee Maker | Was $179.99, now $134.25 at Amazon
The Nespresso Vertuo Next is about as good as single-serve can be. I used one for a couple years and found it makes surprisingly good coffee incredibly quickly. It was cheaper on Black Friday, but this is still a good deal
NutriBullet Pro 900 Series | Was $94.99, now $79.99 at Target
This is our pick for best bullet blender around. It's just the right size for making single servings of smoothies and shakes to drink now or save for later, and a good price, too. You get very little extra for going up to the Nutribullet 1200, so you're best off with a 900.
You can find more detail in our NutriBullet Pro 900 Series review.
BlendJet 2 Portable Blender | Was $49.99, now $44.99 at Target
This is a great little portable blender. It spent a couple years right up the top our of our guide to the best portable blenders, but was unseated by the Ninja Blast. However, that's not on sale, so if you want something a little cheaper, this is the best option.
You can find more detail in our BlendJet 2 blender review.
Ninja Professional Blender | Was $99.99, now $89.99 at Target
This blender is powerful and capacious, with a 1000W motor and a 72-oz. pitcher. The Ninja Professional can squeeze all the goodness out of small, soft fruits, and make light work out of tougher produce. There's even a frozen blending option to make creamy fruit smoothies. All that for less than $60.
NutriBullet 2-Speed Electric Juicer | Was $99.99, now $79.99 at Target
Though they're better known for blenders, NutriBullet make some of the best juicers you can buy. This one is on sale for $20 less than its listing price. The NutriBullet 2-Speed Electric Juicer features an extra-wide feed chute to accommodate larger ingredients, as well as a high-torque motor that can tackle tough produce.
Ninja Foodi PossibleCooker Pro | Was $149.99, now $129.99 at Target
We liked this slow cooker on test. It can do several cooking functions all in one function, and it's perfect for hearty winter meals.

Target New Year sales FAQs
Who has the best New Year sales?
Target has great prices, but I've found that some of these products are slightly cheaper on Amazon. Wayfair also has slightly cheaper prices on furniture and bedding.
Are New Year sales better than Black Friday?
They can be. Black Friday has a wide range of products on sale, and usually for lower prices but sometimes the prices are better in the New Year sale if a retailer is desperate to sell off the stock. You tend to find better deals on furniture in the New Year sale than on appliances.
However, if you still want to shop in person, we have the lowdown on when the Target after-Christmas sales begin in person, too.
