The Babington Collection, launching on the 10th September, is a range of textiles, furniture, lighting and accessories, that have been inspired by and can be seen in, Babington House, the Soho House and Co.’s Somerset country house hotel.
Set in 18 acres of country parkland, the private members club, hotel and spa is much loved by members from across the globe and really is the place to get away from all the stress and worries of daily life. Capturing the charm and character of the country retreat, the Babington collection will offer a range of pieces, to bring that same feeling and style, into the homes and living spaces of their customers.
Siobahn Farley, Design Director at Soho Home says: ‘Babington House feels like the ultimate home away from home. It was one of our very first sites and it only made sense to recreate its decorative warmth and finery. Each piece that has been designed offers a unique part of Babington; the collection represents more than what can just be seen with the eye, connecting aesthetic and décor with people and memories.’
Collection highlights include the statement four poster Bobbin Bed, found famously in Room 5 of the House; the Frome Lamp, that resides in the The Library Room and the square shaped floral Hetty Footstool, again found in many of Babington’s 32 bedrooms.
The Antonella chandelier, above, has been produced from Murano glass, hand-moulded in Venice and offers sophisticated statement lighting for your home, taking its influence from the vintage style chandelier that hangs in the main bar of the house.
Echoing the wood furniture found throughout Babington House, the Hardington Mirror features a scalloped edge that eludes elegance and flair.
Look out for Soho Home’s second collection, House Collections, a selection of iconic pieces that originated from the Houses and founded the Soho Home aesthetic, launching later this month.
