Zoe Saldana's glamorous Art Deco kitchen celebrates an iconic design style that is set to takeover design trends in 2024
Zoe Saldana channels a beautiful Art Deco look in her Beverly Hills kitchen; the actress shows us how to master this nostalgic and decadent style in a more modern, minimalist way
We are currently seeing a big revival of Art Deco decor in 2024. A look synonymous with the glitz and glamor of the Roaring Twenties, it is a truly opulent and luxurious style.
While this bold and rich style of decor may not be for everyone, this year's interior design trends are all about channeling an eclectic, transitional look that marries together a collection of different design influences, and there are many ways you can add an Art Deco feel to your home without going overboard, as seen in Zoe Saldana's beautiful Beverly Hills kitchen.
Her Art Deco kitchen showcases a sophisticated blend of the warm and the cool, the industrial and the decadent, and is a wonderful example of how to channel an Art Deco style in a more modern setting.
Designed by Italian-based kitchen brand, Officine Gullo, the kitchen is a wonderful celebration of Art Deco design, and highlights a truly luxurious blend of materials.
The design features an agate gray color scheme, beautiful burnished brass detailing, and stunning green forest marble for the kitchen countertop ideas and kitchen backsplash ideas.
The striking brass trim used across the kitchen cabinets and hardware works wonderfully to create that glamorous Art Deco feel, with the contrasting gray color scheme helping to offer a note of calming contrast; helping to make the overall kitchen ideas feel fresh and contemporary.
Jennifer Ebert, Homes & Gardens' digital editor, discusses how Art Deco has returned for 2024. 'When many of us picture Art Deco spaces, we are drawn to big, bold maximalist designs that showcase sleek geometric patterns, tactile tassels and fringes, glass and velvet. However, for this year's interior design trends, we are seeing many designers incorporate elements of Art Deco in a more subtle and sophisticated way.'

She continues, 'As shown in Zoe Saldana's kitchen, the striking brass detailing helps to add that glamorous, Art Deco edge to the space, with the simple gray color palette and beautiful marble finish adding a more relaxing and minimalist note to the space. This modern kitchen exudes a sense of calm and tranquillity, yet still feels wonderfully warm, luxurious, and, of course, functional.'
