HexClad vs. Our Place – which trending cookware brand should you buy in the sales?
It's a tough call, but I've tested them both and here's my verdict


Amazon Prime Day kicked off yesterday, and I’ve been glued to the site, hunting down deals on my favorite cookware. Amid the price drops and discount drama, one drag race has emerged: HexClad vs Our Place.
Both brands are offering major discounts on their best non-stick pans. While Our Place is often associated with pastel tones and Instagram kitchens, it stepped into HexClad’s territory last year with the launch of the Titanium Always Pan Pro – a high-performance pan with a similar honeycomb pattern that echoes HexClad’s chef-approved design. Now both brands are earning rave customer reviews and sitting at similar price points, which begs the question: which one is actually worth your money?
Last month, I dug into a HexClad vs Caraway comparison. This time, I’ve put HexClad vs. Our Place head to head, testing each brand’s best-selling frying pan to see how they compare on performance, design, and ease of use. Here’s my verdict on the HexClad vs Our Place debate, and which brand is the smarter buy in this year’s Amazon Prime Day sales.

HexClad vs. Our Place: two minute verdict
You’ll find all the detailed testing notes below, but here are the key takeaways. Choosing between the two is tricky – I use both regularly in my kitchen and I awarded them both 4.5 stars in my reviews.
HexClad is better suited to everyday cooks. It's more non-stick and especially easy for beginners to use straight out of the box. However, Our Place’s Titanium Always Pan Pro is more versatile thanks to its deeper, more multifunctional design which offers more flexibility across different types of cooking. I prefer the polished aesthetic and I like that it doesn't use a coating.

Materials & design

First, let's look at HexClad. The brand is known for its unique honeycomb surface – a hybrid design featuring laser-etched stainless steel ridges layered over a ceramic non-stick coating, built over an aluminum core. The raised stainless steel allows for excellent searing and browning, while the non-stick valleys make it easy to cook delicate foods like eggs or fish without sticking. HexClad say it's free from Teflon and PFAS, and oven-safe up to 900°F. HexClad also pairs with a tight-sealing glass lid, which helps for simmering and steaming.
Our Place’s Titanium Always Pan Pro also features a stainless steel and aluminum base, and at first glance, the interior looks quite similar to HexClad’s, with its distinctive hexagonal pattern. However, unlike HexClad, it doesn’t have a glossy finish. Instead, Our Place uses a titanium-reinforced interior with a raised texture, specially engineered to deliver non-stick performance without the use of chemicals like PTFE or PFAS.
The Titanium Always Pan Pro is also deeper and more spacious, making it more versatile for tasks like sautéing, steaming, and even shallow frying. It’s oven-safe up to a whopping 1000°F, includes a snug-fitting steel lid and a wooden spatula.
Winner: Our Place. While both offer unique designs and high heat resistance, the Our Place Titanium Always Pan Pro edges ahead with its deeper shape and slightly higher heat tolerance, which makes it a more flexible choice if you’re buying just one pan. To my eye, it also looks much more polished and aesthetic than HexClad.
Cooking performance
Frying an egg in the HexClad Hybrid Pan
HexClad has a smooth, glossy hybrid coating that’s fantastic for delicate ingredients you don’t want to stick. I’ve crisped up tofu, fried eggs, and more without a trace of residue left behind.
The honeycomb surface really lives up to the hype – it delivers that golden-brown, crusty Maillard reaction that tastes delicious. You can even use a stainless steel turner (I swear by this one from Field Company)to flip foods cleanly without worrying about scratching the non-stick coating.
Our Place’s Titanium Always Pan Pro is also non-stick, but not quite as seamless. It has a matte finish, rather than a slippery surface. When I tested tofu, I ended up with a few stuck-on bits – nothing major, but it might be a deal breaker for home cooks who expect zero stick without having to finesse technique.
That said, Our Place shines in heavier-duty tasks. Think seared steak, chili con carne, even skillet brownies – the deeper shape and high heat tolerance make it a go-to for one-pan meals and saucy dishes.
Winner: HexClad is the better option for ultra-easy non-stick cooking, especially if you’re regularly frying eggs, flipping pancakes, or working with delicate ingredients.
Cleaning & maintenance
Cleaning the Our Place Titanium Always Pan Pro with the included brush
When it comes to cleaning, it’s a bit of a trade-off. Food residue easily lifts from HexClad’s glossy non-stick surface with just warm water and a soft sponge (I use this one from Williams Sonoma). While both brands advertise their pans as dishwasher-safe, I recommend hand-washing HexClad if you want to preserve its non-stick performance long term.
Both pans are surprisingly forgiving when it comes to deep cleaning. After charring some sweetcorn in the HexClad pan, I ended up with a stubborn layer of dark brown residue. Following HexClad’s cleaning guide, I made a baking soda paste, gave it a gentle scrub, and re-seasoned it with a thin layer of grapeseed oil. It came out spotless, and the non-stick surface worked just as well as before.
I had a similar experience with Our Place’s Titanium Always Pan Pro after searing venison steaks last winter. The brown char lifted with the included brush and some baking soda, but it took a bit more elbow grease and the pan remains a little darkened. The honeycomb grooves trap residue more easily, so it takes a firmer scrub to get fully clean. That said, it really is hardy and you needn't worry about chipping or damaging the coating. It's also dishwasher-safe; I’ve put mine through the machine countless times with no noticeable loss of performance.
Winner: Tie. Both pans are easy to clean and can be restored with basic re-seasoning if needed. I think HexClad might have the edge, since it's easier to hand-wash the. slick coating. However, Our Place holds up better in the dishwasher, with no coating to worry about.
Price

HexClad's 10-inch pan typically retails for around $169 with the lid included. However, you can purchase it without a lid to make it $50 cheaper.
The Titanium Pro pan costs a similar $165, with a matching lid, wooden spatula and cleaning brush. There is a little value added here, but there isn't an option to forgo the accessories if you want it cheaper..
Winner: Tie. HexClad offers a more accessible option without an included lid, but in terms of value, it's pretty much even-steven. Whichever pan you choose, $165 for a pan is steep. I’d suggest shopping in the Amazon Prime sales this week (or waiting until Black Friday, if you just can't make up your mind yet).
The range: beyond the frying pan

HexClad’s full range includes saucepans, sauté pans, woks, and even a lightweight Dutch oven that’s become a favorite of mine for one-pot family meals. Everything is built with the same hybrid material, making the collection feel cohesive and professional, but I wouldn't describe it as aesthetically chic. HexClad also makes walnut wood cutting boards and amazing Japanese knives, which I have just tested and rated 5-stars.
However, Our Place offers a more varied range, which includes glassware, tableware, plastic-free utensils, one of the best non-toxic air fryers (the Wonder Oven), and more. Each piece is designed to match, with a range of pastel hues to choose from, which is ideal for anyone curating a functional yet beautiful and healthy kitchen.
Winner: Tie. It depends what you're looking for. HexClad offers a highly professional range of kitchenware, with extraordinary Japanese knives and quality tools. Our Place can't rival that, but they offer pretty tableware, glassware and utensils, which suit a more style-conscious audience.
The verdict: which brand should you buy?
After testing both pans across multiple meals and cleanup sessions, the winner ultimately depends on what kind of cook you are.
HexClad wins on non-stick. It's unbeaten on delicate foods like eggs and tofu – and easier to clean by hand. The stainless steel and flat shape are excellent for searing meat and fish, too.
Our Place is best for style and versatility. The Titanium Always Pan Pro offers a deeper, more flexible shape, a sleek, design-forward aesthetic, and true dishwasher safety. It’s ideal for one-pan meals, but the stickier 'No-Coating' surface might frustrate some cooks.
