Don’t wait till Black Friday! This classic Dyson V8 powerhouse cordless is the cheapest it's been all year, with $240 off
Grab it now for premium power without the premium cost

Getting your hands on a Dyson vacuum may feel like a pipe dream due to the often eye-watering costs, but I’ve just found a deal that’s truly worth snapping up. The classic V8 cordless powerhouse is now $240 cheaper in the final stretch of October's Amazon Prime Day.
Now just $299.99, which is almost as cheap as it was last year during epic Black Friday sales, this is the lowest price it's been all year. So, if you’ve been waiting for Black Friday, wait no more!
It’s one of our best Dyson vacuums, and though it’s a slightly older model, its enduringly powerful suction, patented technology, and excellent 40-minute run time make it a must-have for easy floor cleaning.
Why this Dyson V8 is a great deal worth grabbing now
Not only does it easily convert to a useful hand-held vacuum that's great for molding, baseboards, and upholstery, but we thoroughly tested the V8 and loved its powerful suction and effectiveness on hard floors and especially carpets, which many other cordless, especially budget ones under $300, often struggle with. Enjoy premium Dyson power without the premium price tag.

The Dyson V8 Plus is no exception. It’s now just $299.99, just a whisper above its Black Friday price on 29th November 2024. This is, however, the very best price the V8 has been all year, so snap it up now while the sale and stocks last.
If you do, here’s what you will enjoy with this premium Dyson V8 cordless, and really, one of the best out there. We know that for sure, as we’ve tested it thoroughly and gave it a solid 4.5 out of 5.
Dyson's best cordless vacuums are famous for their suction power, and the V8 is no different. But what makes them clean so effectively is also the design of their attachments.
The Dyson V8 uses the Motorbar floorhead which, from the 82 best vacuums we've tested at Homes & Gardens, is the best for vacuuming all floor types and messes, but particularly carpets and hair. It's the same attachment used in our all-time favorite Dyson V15 Detect, allowing for powerful suction for the duration of your 40-minute run time.
When it runs flat, it'll take around five hours to fully charge up again, just FYI.
Our home tech editor and resident vacuum tester Dan Fauzi says, 'If you're looking for the best vacuum for pet hair on a budget, the Dyson V8 is an excellent choice. I've been using the Motorbar attachment for more than a year, and it's never once wrapped with hair.'
Dan also explains that with the V8, you'll also enjoy up to 40 minutes of cordless cleaning. Most cordless max out at 30 minutes, and often that's at lower suction levels. This Dyson doesn't have the laser light that helps you spot hidden dust, but it will still suck it all up for you, filling the bin with ease.
The V8's whole-machine HEPA filtration is a boon too, as it traps up to 99.99% of common household allergens, including dust, pollen, and dander. Say goodbye to sneezing fits during floor cleaning and fewer reactions at home overall, as these particles will get sucked up by the V8, meaning less buildup in your home over time.
During testing, our reviewer particularly loved that the 0.14-gallon dust bin opens at the click of a button, and all the dust and debris falls straight into the garbage. This means no more awkward tipping and trying to empty the debris yourself, reducing the risk of a plume of dust, dander, and pollen getting up your nose in this essential process.
As for maintenance in the longer term, you can remove and wash the filters, and they'll be dry and ready for use in 24 hours. This makes it easy to maintain a recommended monthly cleaning schedule to help you get the most out of your machine and ease the strain on its motors. Regularly keeping up with these simple tasks will mean your Dyson will last as long as possible and run well during that time.
Overall, the V8 is a fantastic, lightweight cleaner that's perfect for cleaning all types of mess.
