Not all of the best bedding is on Amazon − as a sleep writer and a sales hunter, here's what and where I'm shopping in the sales

I've spent hours shopping the Amazon bedding sales, but I've found deeper discounts on sheets, pillows, quilts, and comforters across the Internet

When you shop the bedding sales, you can upgrade your bed on a budget. I've found sheets, shams, quilts, comforters, and pillows to suit every style of bedroom and every size of budget.

October is a great time to buy bedding. The Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale runs from Tuesday 8 to Wednesday 9. That's when you'll find deep discounts across specialist sleep stores, plus counter-sales across the major merchants. Saying that, some of the best deals are still live, and if you act fast, you could still bag a bargain.

Still, Amazon aren't the only ones running bedding sales. There are plenty of deep discounts hidden across the internet, and it's my job to dig up the best deals. I've spent hours shopping the Amazon bedding sales, but I've found better deals at Brooklinen, Woolroom, and Target, to name a few. I know all the best places to buy bedding, as well as where – and when − to get the goods for less. Let me put you onto something.

Bedding sales FAQs

Why is bedding so expensive?

Not all bedding is expensive, but I take your point: it can be hard to justify spending hundreds of dollars on sheets and shams. That's why I tend to steer clear of the luxury design houses, where you're paying less for a product and more for a brand name.

The best bedding should be reasonably priced, when you consider the time and money that goes into making it. You're paying for premium fabrics, artisan craftsmanship, and timeless style. If you're tight on time and money, and you need new bedding at a cut price, your best bet is a set of the best affordable bed sheets. Bedding bundles from big-name brands, such as Saatva and Sijo, deliver premium performance without the premium price tag.

When is the best time to buy bedding?

The best time to buy bedding at a bargain price is either during the holidays, where major merchants across the country cut their prices, or as part of a site-wide sale. After Amazon Prime Big Deal Days, the next major sales event is Black Friday on November 29, so mark your calendars and get ready to shop the sales.

Now that you've made it to the end of this article, you might be wondering where all the mattress pads, toppers, and protectors are. These deals live with mattress sales, along with all the deepest discounts on mattresses: I've seen as much as $1,400 off a luxury latex bed.
